Just read this... Scoring goals was what Alaves found most difficult last season, netting just 41 times. Only three teams in La Liga scored fewer and two of those sides – Granada and Osasuna - were relegated. But the considerable flip side was that they only let in 43 – only three sides conceded fewer, the champions Madrid let in 41. Scoring goals was our biggest problem last season too and is probably the main reason why Puel's gone. Why would we want to replace Puel with somebody whose record doesn't appear to be much better? Makes no sense at all.

It'll be Ryan ****ing Giggs and once again we'll be a laughing stock.

The Mirror are reporting that LVG is coming to Saints. It's a very weak story that could have been written about any club that may be looking for a change of management.

My only complaint is the thin black stripes between the Red and White sections. A single black stripe or nothing would have been far better.

Clearly the staff member I spoke to in the club shop is a liar. She said the away kit was yellow and navy blue. I guess they get hundreds of phone calls about the new kit so just say stuff to wind people up. They're probably sat in the shop as we speak discussing who's getting a prize for giving out the most misleading information.

Yes, you did give me your explanation before, thank you. However, your response is flawed as manufacturing and distributing a huge number of kits in four to five weeks is easily achievable in this day and age, especially for a company the size of UA. A bespoke shirt can be designed and produced in less than 2 weeks by numerous manufacturers. The big boys such as Adidas and Nike, can manufacture up to 1500 shirts in day. It was a missed opportunity, which is a surprise given how money orientated Football clubs are these days.

She also said, "given the number of calls we've received about it, the club would be mad not to sell it". I still don't understand the mentality behind not making it available for the cup final. Most clubs issue a shirt with the date & event embroidered on the front. We did it for the FA Cup final in 2003 and the shirts sold out. The fact that the UA and the club didn't give the fans what they wanted says a lot.

One of the staff in the club shop told me the white kit might be staying as a third shirt.

Janssen comes as no surprise. I saw him play for The Netherlands and thought he looked like one of those league 2 strikers who bagged 30 odd goals but simply couldn't make the step up to football at a higher level. I couldn't believe it when Spurs paid that much for him.

As I've said before, if all those boring 0-0 games had ended 3-3 or 4-4 we'd have ended up in exactly the same league position and I don't think anybody would be calling for Puel to be axed.

Were you saying that when he salvaged a point against Sunderland and bagged a brace against Bournemouth? It's hardly surprising that he's not been able to find form with Puel as his manager. He's treated J-Rod like **** this season.

Winston Churchill led the country to victory in the second world war and was voted out almost immediately after the war ended. Why? Because people felt that despite his efforts, he wasn't the right man to take the country forward. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you have to look at the bigger picture. Nobody disputed his achievements, they just didn't feel he was the right choice going forward. 8th place and a cup final can be seen as a success. However, is Puel the right man to get us back on track with our long term aim? Sometimes you have to make brave decisions for the benefit of all.

Does he realise we were 10th at half time and only ended up 8th because other results went our way? We didn't exactly fight to the bitter end to gain 8th. Imagine of we were in a relegation battle and we put in performances like we have in recent weeks, particularly at home, losing our last game at home but only staying up thanks to the results of the teams below us going in our favour. In all honesty I'd have rather finished 14th, playing attractive football, nicking points from the top 6 and drawing games 3-3. Hearing the manager saying different things after games, giving positive interviews, trying to change the formation and making substitutions to change the game rather than for the sake of it.

Here's a quick summary of where our points came from this season. The only teams we took more points from than they did us, were... Boro 6pts. Watford 4pts. Bournemouth 4pts. Sunderland 4pts. Leicester 4pts. Head to head we were even with these teams. Everton 3pts. Palace 3pts. WBA 3pts. Swansea 3pts. West Ham 3pts. Burnley 3pts. Liverpool 2pts. All of these teams took more points from us than we did them. Man City 1pt. Man Utd 1pt. Stoke 1pt. Hull 1pt. Arsenal 0pts. Spurs 0pts. Chelsea 0pts. We only took a total of 4 points from the teams in the top 6 and failed to beat any of them. We only took maximum points from one team - Middlesboro. The fact that we finished 8th with these results and the huge gap between 7th and 8th shows you just what a poor season it's been for two thirds of the premiership.

With a change of man management, I think he's still got something to offer.
