I'm no fan of the silly money that's banded around but it's the way the game's gone. You can try and fight it but the reality is that if you want to compete you have to splash the cash. There's Championship clubs spending £10 - £15m on players these days. £20m for average Premiership players is a sign of the times. The Telegraph are reporting that our loan move for Tasci is off because he's going to Palace on a permanent deal. Have they got their wires crossed with the Sakho story? Either way I'm ****ed off. We went for Sakho on loan and were told Liverpool were only interested in a permanent deal. Apparently he's now off to palace on loan for the remainder of the season with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.

Spot on. I'm amazed that he's got us to Wembley given the football we've played this season. In fact, getting us to the final has probably just bought him time in the job.
