  1. Just say we got near the top four and Manchester United came in for our top striker. How would we stop them from leaving and sustain our challenge?
  2. Lets not forget that even Spurs with all that have not got close to being regularly top four.
  3. And not only that but keep writing off millions for a number of years. I agree it is possible that we could get one unbelievable year and then there is a tiny possibility we could get fourth. All this talk is folly at the moment though as we are currently in a relegation battle. It will look even more absurd should we go down.
  4. Premiership football in that timescale was always possible though pretty unlikely. This is pretty much impossible and a club of our size getting regular top four is completely unprecedented. We will not be top four in the PL in three years. Feel free to dredge this post up in three years time.
  5. And top six is a world away from top four as well.
  6. The deluded thinking.
  7. Bit rich for me. If I were Jeff I would take that. Nice little profit on what he paid.
  8. Slightly less than you wanted but I'll offer you £289.
  9. Are GB not Manchester United in your scenario? I mean GB are the absolute best at cycling and United are the absolute best in the Premiership.
  10. Indeed. Going by the interview today though it is possible that the new manager agrees with me. Good news IMO.
  11. And I think that something like that clearly has a negligible difference (as evidenced by no other clubs that I am aware of employing that policy to such a rigorous degree.) Sure hold off on specifics but I think it's just silly when Adam was clearly out for a long time not to let the fans know the state of play. ANyway, it is possible that the new manager may relax this or at least I hope so.
  12. Someone I know personally as I have connections with his secondary school. Lovely bloke and really intelligent. Would have been a success in whatever he decided to do and will almost certainly get a decent career after football. Laura Howard his partner is also lovely too. A good role model for youngsters to look up to.
  13. Ah we must have hit on a tactic they were not aware of. That must be it.
  14. No I was saying that the gulf in class between our first team and our squad players is IMO very wide and thus any injuries would have a greater impact than a squad who has players of a greater quality in it.
  15. Manchester United routinely gave away more injury information than us. Clearly the countries most successful team felt it didn't really matter.
  16. Debatable IMO. A good first team yes but if we had to rely on quite a few of our squad then I would be worried.
  17. I'm fully aware that injuries have the potential to ruin any team. If you read the second part of my reply again, it outlines my concern.
  18. It wasn't an accusation it was a question. I didn't realise he said that but just saw it. If this is the case then it is a positive as far as I am concerned. I like to hear these things and it was a nonsense to think it gives you an advantage.
  19. What has changed since Nigel has gone?
  20. That depends. Any injuries to a few of our key players and the gulf in class between our bench options and our starters is such that it could mean relegation for us.
  21. I still think we are short of quality from the bench and would like some competition for our DMs. If either get injured we have no one who can do a job in their place.
  22. Not at all. Signing new players and getting rid of ones who are clearly not the required quality such as De Ridder. Is not comparable to what happened to Adkins.
  23. Disappointing. Get rid of Nigel and don't even soften the blow by bringing in a few players.
  24. Laugh a minute that Frank.
