I think you misunderstand me. I quite clearly said that I do care. I was talking about the British public in general as well as questioning the protest choices of those who were waving flags outside of West Quay.

Not really worth it. I think 99.9999% of readers (actually everyone except Alpine) would realise the amount of experience you have and take your word for it.

I really think you are looking for things in my post that isn't there. Besides I think it is a valid point. This thread is called The whole Israel thing and my point is (as Crab Lungs was saying) that largely people do not care. Do you not consider that worthy of discussion? Sad if so.

TBH though no one really wants to know about loads of bad stuff that is happening miles away. Half of the people don't give a toss about what is happening on their doorstep as long as they get their benefits and their big TVs. And also those sort of distractions have been going on for decades (I really hate the X factor.) We as individuals are largely powerless to do anything but I do think there are fanatics on both sides that just want to wipe the other side off the map. It makes me sad but imo there is no solution.

What response did you object to? Having read the thread I can't see what he did wrong.

It was just a joke but actually there is a serious underlying point since I still fail to see the point of highlighting this issue by campaigning outside of West Quay in front of shoppers who were completely indifferent. Surely there are more effective ways to get your point across?

Btw I see alpine is sort of being friendly towards me in this thread. I don't think he has seen my submarine post yet...

Although my post did actually suggest that I didn't know a lot about it so he is a bit correct even if he did sound patronising. It's not that I don't care, it's more that I can see both sides of this and there isn't a lot I can do about it despite thinking it is a sad situation. Yes I got some shopping in early because I hate the crowds. I still don't see the point in demonstrating outside West Quay though.

I think both sides have done a lot of damage Tbh. I don't come down on either side, because as far as I can see both have done things wrong. It's sad that both of them fire things at each other and kill each other. Not sure what the people in town were trying to achieve though.

There were also a load of randomers waving Palestinian flags in my face outside West Quay yesterday. TBH it made me want to support Israel because I was only trying to do a bit of christmas shopping and have a Bratwurst.

Alpine you could start an argument with a leaf. How can you argue about submarines with someone who clearly CLEARLY knows about a million times more about them than you. He has spent most of his adult life on them for goodness sake. I know feck all about submarines but I would obviously consider TDD to be much more of an authority on them than you. This is like the time you said you knew more about games than those who actually attended.

You stayed away for a while and became less irritating because of it. Ridiculous posts like this are the reason some posters find you so annoying.
