  1. Yep. That is the exact moment that I noticed a switch in people's reaction to him. Before that incident he was pretty well liked. Afterwards we have the situation now where I feel he is unfairly criticised. He isn't our best player but he is definitely useful to have in the squad and offers something different.
  2. What evidence do you have that his last two performances were not met with approval? By all accounts he was set to start before an unfortunate injury and then he was introduced in the second half on Monday presumably because he was still unfit after his injury (and backed up by his twitter account.) Please don't assume what I find appealing in a player. It comes across as extremely patronising.
  3. I'm glad that both of them have stopped the silliness. I can't help but think that if what Puncheon said was true, then Cortese could have just met him a lot earlier and got it sorted. It shouldn't have had to take Puncheon mouthing off on twitter to get it sorted.
  4. I haven't seen much evidence of that to be honest with you. In fact, on the last two occasions he has played, I would say he has been amongst the best players in the team.
  5. He has definitely looked better in away games. I think some are critical because they have only seen him in short bursts in home games.
  6. It is very clear that the public and stage managed apology was part of the terms if he wanted to play again. It's good they have managed to sort it, but I wouldn't read anything into Puncheon's admission of guilt.
  7. I just don't understand it. In away games he has looked decent, basically won us a point single handed against Reading and other than a few ocassions either hasn't had a run in the team or has been unlucky to get injured at key moments. He was just forcing his way into the side recently and had looked our best player on occasion and would have started quite a few more had he not been fit. Weirdly, being injured and then recovering fitness has now translated into 'Adkins doesn't like/rate him' when I think there is little evidence to suggest that other than one poor moment in that home game on TV when Adkins was critical. Personally I believe Adkins sees De Ridder as an effective impact player and the sort of player who can change a game if he is introduced against a tiring opposition. Does anyone else feel that the criticism of De Ridder is unnecessarily harsh?
  8. Was probably from football rumours.
  9. Seems common sense has prevailed on both sides. Shame it wasn't sorted sooner tbh.
  10. Erm because it is his personal twitter account and he can write whatever he likes?
  11. What's the point? If true, why are we wasting our time with these targets?
  12. Do they not have another 800k this month?
  13. Now that I agree with. A lifestyles skills course where you can learn things like doing a tax return or changing a fuse. I've always thought it.
  14. There is not a chance they will be liquidated, they will get the parachute payments in advance, sell all the players and hopefully play the youth team before that happens. Chanrai and CSI will probably be forced to accept a really small amount in the end and they will limp on for the foreseeable future. That's what will happen and TBH that isn't a bad scenario. Relegation would be nice though in a season or two.
  15. But according to Lampitt they are able to get the parachute payments early.
  16. Are they insolvent though? I mean they could get the parachute payments forwarded and sell some players and they could pay couldnt they?
  17. Hope we aren't faffing about with other options and he decides not to bother.
  18. Schools differ on all manner of subjects depending on what teachers you get. Most of the time, I didn't actually enjoyed subjects, I enjoyed the teaching style and content of the teachers who taught them. Of course you will get teachers who teach things like religion in a 'preachy' way in the same way you could get dull geography teachers or strict history ones. I don't think anyone wants religion taught as facts, but I dispute that it is a wide ranging occurrence.
  19. Yes but that is your experience, not the experience of everyone. I found my experience to be totally unbiased despite going to a religious school. The GCSE now teaches religion on a factual basis.
  20. I don't believe it. We have moved on, were never going to spend 6 million on Hooper at any rate and Celtic aren't going to sell their star striker to a championship team for anything other than a largely inflated price in this window. It's not just the money, it's a matter of pride. We have had numerous denials and Hooper saying he wants to stay whilst Adkins says he has pretty much given up. The summer may be a different matter.
  21. Wasn't his fault IMO.
  22. Think Adkins said could be Saturday. My friend says he hasn't returned to full training though.
  23. Rubbish.
