  1. Any update on these questions? It would be interesting to hear both sides.
  2. Yeah. Any chance we could set this up? Maybe broadcast a couple of hours a week or something. I'd be really interested. PM me anyone if you know how and would like to start something. Well done btw steve
  3. And also I would feel no offence if a homosexual said they felt more comfortable seeing two blokes kiss than a bloke and a woman.
  4. Why is that homophobic? I feel more uncomfortable seeing two blokes kissing than a bloke and a woman. That's my personal opinion because I am not attracted to men myself. I have no problem with homosexuals.
  5. No problem .
  6. Which one? Where I said that I thought that creepy was the wrong word to use?
  7. Atticus this is the lounge and it's a pretty interesting topic. Kindly bugger off back to TMS if you have nothing to contribute.
  8. Yeah it's what I said earlier in the thread. Wish there was a party with the decent BNP policies. I'd vote for them.
  9. Nope. If you watched the whole thing he actually controlled it pretty well.
  10. Do you know about Ron Davies and would you be prepared to support some sort of benefit match or movement to bring him to Southampton?
  11. Yep I agree with that as well. I'm sure that therefore you can see that using Jock and Paddy on here could be seen as offensive to some? So why use it if you know it has the potential to cause offense? Good debate btw delldays. Don't often agree with you but it's nice that we can debate without insults.
  12. If I knew that someone was offended by a term I used then I would try not to use it in front of them. It's pretty simple really.
  13. But that's sort of what I was saying. If he isn't offended by it then there is no problem. It's calling someone Snowy who IS offended that's the problem and the same applies to Paddy, Jock etc.
  14. Perhaps it is policy set by the owners of the nursery? Ofsted and Early Years are national organisations and I know they haven't implemented such a scheme. I would be extremely surprised if Torquay council had got involved and changed any policy. Even if true, it's not over the whole country and IMO there is no chance of it happening over the whole country. Nothing to worry or get angry about. I agree it's stupid tough.
  15. My parents run 4 nurseries in Southampton and have done so for over thirty years. I can tell you now that that nursery rhymes policy is untrue. There is a song called baa baa white sheep which is sung as well as the original person (there is also a pink sheep version!). It may be a policy at a specific nursery or chain where she works but I know for a fact that it is not a national thing. Sorry, what I meant to say is that almost always the children are asked what it is they would like to sing. Sometimes they say baa baa black sheep and sometimes white sheep. It is never policy that they HAVE to sing both.
  16. And personally I couldn't give a monkeys about those words. I personally do not find it offensive in the slightest but I CAN see why some people would.
  17. Why not call them Irish and Scottish then? They are totally different terms and you know it. You wouldn't call a black person a ni**er would you?
  18. I can only speculate that if true, the poster calling you it was either not being particularly serious or was themselves extremely ignorant. I very much doubt that you would find anyone on here now who would seriously call you a racist for voting UKIP.
  19. Wel it can't be proven either way so we'll leave it eh?
  20. Sigh. Some people consider the terms jocks and paddys as offensive. I don't but some people do.
  21. Did they actually say that you are a racist because you support UKIP though? I would be surprised TBH if that was the line of argument they had chosen.
  22. TBF just debate the issues without going on like you are being victimised. Some people could be offended by some of the words you have used. Just don't do it and you'll be fine.
  23. So are you saying that everyone who has voted for the BNP supports their policies and is therefore racist themselves? Most commentators reckon that a large majority of the recent BNP votes were protest votes from frustrated members of the public who feel alienated by the main political parties. I don't support the BNP in any way BTW and I have never voted for them.
  24. Well you say that, but you've also made claims that people have said things in the past which they haven't said...
  25. But surely you wouldn't say no?
