Norwich currently showing more pace and directness in one attacking love than we have for most of the year...
-
He's probably meeting fans to finalise the wording for the five principles that are due to be released over thst period. Exciting stuff.

I think it highlights one of our main problems really well. Giant disconnect between what's actually happening with the first team in England and lots of people like the owners and the chairman swanning baout the place abroad building the brand and ignoring our on pitch performance.
-
Personally I'd rather buy celtic's best player than a reserve player from the French league even if it's a big team. I do think we have seen a shift in the calibre of player. I don't know if that's due to our finances being tighter or losing some of our best scouts.
-
Will be good for the championship next season.
-
We used to buy the best players from mid sized clubs and now for some reason we are buying the average players from the big clubs. In terms of potential I know what I would go with. I wonder what has changed.
-
The ineptitude is what got us into this position in the first place. The telegraph article essentially admits that being in danger of relegation meant that theo went elsewhere. That's primarily the fault of the club.
-
When you think in previous years we have made some really exciting signings with the likes of mane, Wanyama, alderweireld, vvd etc etc we have really seen a step backwards where we are signing reserve players.
-
I'd much rather have a quick fix manager than persist with a manager as poor as our current one.
-
I think maybe someone like Ralph believed that but if he does, it's most likely because he has barely been around the club this season as he's been doing international work abroad.
-
I'm here in the hope that they sack the manager.
-
I really hate how people talking about writing a player off because some posters give initial impressions of a signing. He could be fantastic for us or he could be a total flop but so far he only things we have to judge him on is his record for another team so it's perfectly fine to give your opinion on that. It isn't writing anyone off, it's an initial assessment that is subject to change based on how he does for saints. Of course some signings are more exciting than others.

We also had some incredibly easy fixtures and had some terrible performances (which is why I mentioned the bit about performances.)
-
Should have been concerned since about October time considering some of our awful performances.
-
No. We obviously wanted Walcott and we will definitely get at least one player in. As benji says though, it will make little difference under this manager.
-
I really do think this could be the game we have mass protests, particularly if we go a couple down before half time.
-
I mean ffs if that happens.
-
As soon as he isn't sacked after a game, people move onto the next one. Time for all of us to assume he won't be going anywhere.

Nicola Cortese wants to return to English footie

5) For many fans the Southampton Way has been about trying to play exciting attacking football and giving our youth players a chance. Given the terrible performance this year and seemingly our change of tactics that has seen us send many of our prospects out on loan, has the Southampton way changed?

He also hugely overspent on the training ground. -
Yeah but that's not particularly likely given our situation. I would have thought that Walcott was about the best we could muster. Let's just hope we can bring this lump in up top and someone else with some pace for attack and then see if we can scrape to the end of the season.

Well no. Some people know friends and family members who actually have information about Cortese and what he was like. Nothing to do with some crummy club pr. -
We always knew it wasn't going to last forever. I said to my mates when we went to the San siro that we won't be seeing somethibg similar any time soon and to enjoy it while we can. I have to admit I didn't see it falling apart this quickly though but that's what getting complacent without much cash in the prem will do to you.

Thanks that's helpful. Does sound like someone we need then. Won't be much good though if we fail to sign anyone with pace.
