Ordinary Germans are starting to realise what a mistake their governments stance has been on this issue.

I'd have Clyne.

If that's the standard of your contributions then you won't be missed.

Saints v Manchester United (A) - Match Thread
hypochondriac replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
It's really annoying how excited the commentator gets whenever United get vaguely near our box. -
Doesn't it signify that you have to make a speech?
-
You are really demonstrating how hard of thinking you are now. On a number of occasions myself and others have pointed out to you that it's not the fact you disagree but how you state your opinion that means you are likely to encounter hostility and most posters thinking you are a bit of a nobcheese. Keep posting in this manner if you wish but then myself and other posters will continue to point it out and highlight your idiocy.
-
Don't flatter yourself, I respond to loads of people. I don't have time to follow you around the board. I used the owner as an example to show that generally what people would consider to be balanced and level headed posters also have an opinion that wanyama hasn't put in 100% this year. For some reason you get very angry if anyone dares to mention something like this. I would calm down if I were you. You may claim you have no problem with the opinions of others but your recent post history and babyish and confrontational debating style suggests otherwise.
-
So not really a serious or well thought through suggestion at all. If you wanted to discuss this issue on those terms then you should have said.
-
Precisely. You have to guess that those who support this course of action haven't really considered the longer term consequences. Par for the course on here though...

If you ban trump for saying something stupid the you leave the whole system wide open to abuse. The argument that he is guilty of a hate crime is flimsy at best and those who support silencing those whose crime is saying something they disagree with should be laughed at. This isn't inciting racial hatred and thankfully the government and lawmakers agree. Freedom of speech is one of our most important rights.
-
So actually you have no example to give me just a request that I should Google to look for your argument. So you could argue but you give no examples? Great. Thankfully he wasn't banned for something so ridiculous.
-
Well with that definition you could Make virtually any crime a hate crime. That's a nonsense and I'm certainly glad we aren't looking to ban someone from Britain by using such a loose and flimsy definition
-
Why do we have to have diversity at the awards? Just choose the best films regardless of the nationality.
-
Fantastic news. The more time they spend taking their eye off the ball in the league the better.
-
You could have made a case for idris Elba and straight outta Compton in best film but I wouldn't say there were any real glaring omissions. Spike Lee does like a good rant about racism though (see his comments about django - a film he hadn't even seen.)
-
You said you "could argue" that he is guilty of hate crime. Presumably you have some sort of idea of what this argument would look like? Clearly he has done something that you believe in the eyes of some people constitutes a hate crime. What has he done that you believe people could argue was a hate crime? The second part of your post could very well be seen as discriminatory but that isn't what you were talking about initially and discrimination on its own is not a hate crime.
-
So you never said you think he "will" be PM but you deny saying he won't be either. You're making loads of sense now...
-
Good, we mostly agree then. I do think that these petitions have been devalued a fair bit by the Internet. Now any old student activist (or indeed random from Mexico) can click a button a "sign" the petition. Maybe some sort of safeguard such as putting address details or having to make a bigger show of commitment to the cause they are supposedly supporting would make things more accurate.
-
Excellent. He won't be pm. Let's move on .
-
I think it's great that we can petition parliament. This particular petition is really stupid though.
-
What has he done that you would constitute as a hate crime?
-
He won't be president so it doesn't matter.
-
He probably means that that would take an awful lot of money and you can probably find more choice and thus more value in the market in the summer. I'm inclined to agree.
-
I disagree with your interpretation of hate crime. As for the numbers calling to have him banned, that's just another example of people jumping on the bandwagon and wanting to silence those who they disagree with rather than seeking to change minds or attitudes. The type of people who wanted to ban Tyson fury from sports personality for saying something stupid that they disagreed with. I strongly disagree with both of those people but I absolutely defend their right to say it.
