I think the point is you have to look at the revenue they generate before deciding if they aren't worth what they earn per week. Yes they get loads of money but if we just stick to the facts then collectively the Premier league makes billions and they are the main reason for that.

Yep. There's many arguments you take here but that's a pretty stupid one considering how many more came than were predicted.

It's very difficult. It's much too simplistic to dismiss people as callous if they question the wisdom of giving all asylum seekers asylum. I think everyone agrees that that photo is awful. The problem we have is that if we collectively agreed to take them all, it would send a message out to all those still abroad to come and try their luck. I have no doubt that many are fleeing war then Syria but there will also be a number of economic migrants trying it on and attempting to take advantage. I'm not sure what the answer is but letting everyone in will just encourage loads more to try.

Short term decisions with aging players would also concern me but I'm not suggesting that. Potential top quality like Wanyama is what we should be going for or Mané, both of who were ambitious and exciting signings. It's early days but from what I've seen so far the players we have brought in this year are the same quality yet. Fine to buy some potential but imo we should be combining that with a couple of 10-15 million pound players every season and then replace what we lose with the best quality we can. There is a balance to strike here between a canny cheaper buy and that proven quality that costs a bit more.

I disagree. I don't think we should ever look to consolidate or stand still as it's a recipe for disaster. We should look to improve every year regardless of who we let go.
