Sorry mate there is no credible evidence that we would have been liquidated. You can peddle that fantasy if it makes you feel better but it doesn't make it true.
-
Why is it trolling to debunk the myth that we would have folded as a club without Markus? Quite simply we wouldn't have. Clearly we wouldn't have been anywhere near where we are now but we would have survived just like every single club of comparable size has done in the same situation.

He's never going to be my cup of tea because imo he sounds a little insincere. It doesn't really matter though when it's a good news story like this. We should be very attractive to Europe's best youth players. If saints wants you why would you go anywhere else?
-
None of that has anything to do with what I posted.
-
Yep. For me winning something is now the key if we want to be taken seriously. I'm desperate for a cup win.
-
Very true. Don't think I met anyone at forest away who really thought it was our last ever game.

I've watched all the videos. On none of them have I had to pause because of tears ffs. I watched them I'm my lunch break, smiled and then got in with what I was doing. Maybe football doesn't mean as much to me? Can't be too sad about a billionaire, he probably had a cracking life. Shame he had to die so soon into the project but I've known loads of people who have died much younger and in far more tragic circumstances. I'm sure Markus was a great bloke and it does appear that way but I didn't know him personally so I find it hard to get too emotionally invested in his passing.

When adults write on here that they are actually crying watching a video, are they being genuine or is it just something that looks nice written down? It's a lovely video and great to see but I'm not going to start crying about it.

Relax everyone, I've solved the Morgan song problem...

Schniederlin, Schniederlin makes a tackle and then we win Scores a goal makes a pass Schniederlin is f*cking class Look out its Morgan Schniederlin. -
It's an excellent video. Much better than any of the cringeworthy stuff they have produced in the past. The media department has produced interesting and worthwhile videos recently- long may it continue.

No chamberlain either. I heard he left in rather acrimonious circumstances.

Or if people in the street start shouting it at an English woman whose dad happens to be from Iraq.
-
I was in hospitality that evening and we were dreadful.
-
Not weird at all. I do it myself sometimes, that way if we lose then you get a little silver lining in the form of cash to drown your sorrows!
-
I have said this too! Benali stickers all over the London tube network.

I remember people saying they would rather finish high in the table last season than win a cup because then we had a good chance of winning something in future years. I don't understand that logic! 1) I would enjoy us being in the Champions league but we would be knocked out quickly and would most likely only be there a season. In ten years time I want something tangible for my support such as winning something. 2) what good is keeping players if they never win something? 3) but presumably bringing in players would be with the view to being successful and winning something? Why wouldn't you prefer immediate success this season rather than finishing 4th in the hope that you have a better chance of winning something in later years? I find that mentality bizarre. I've supported saints for so many years in order to see us win something not finish 4th and lose away to Roma. 4) in what way is playing good football better than winning a cup? In the 80s we finished second but I would have far far rather won something during that period than finished second wouldn't you?
-
I feel sorry for you that you would prefer finishing 4th in a competition than actually winning a cup. Cup for me every time please, I want to win something of consequence in my lifetime.

PS I thought you had nutmegged Callum?

Heard anything about Jay Rod and his desire to play for saints rather than Spurs? Shame about Cork if so, would be a mistake not to sign him up IMO.
-
Could well be true. Don't think a man of his age with his responsibilities should do some of the things he does. I grew out of that behaviour years ago.
-
It's alcohol that's the problem.
-
Good footballer for us but not a nice bloke away from the football pitch.
-
Personally I think it's much too hasty to say something like that. Jay rod didn't look that great in our first season up and it takes time to adjust to the Prem. IMO if we sign him then we will have seen something in our analysis that we like. He is young with plenty of time on his side and could be a bargain.
