Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
hypochondriac replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
We didn't accept the numbers of people that Germany and France did. -
Oh dear oh dear.
-
Prediction still holding out...
-
We aren't going to score here are we...
-
Have to disagree with you there. Prague was absolutely shocking.
-
Good to get three points but the concerns remain about the dull and uninspired football and the lack of shots again. The good news is I can't see us getting relegated now unless we go on a horrible run but it would be nice to aim for something bigger.
-
Out of interest, what is a racial gesture?
-
Are you suggesting that sacking a manager will never result in improved performances?
-
Sparta away was terrible and very gutting for those or us who made the long journey
-
Spoiler alert: it probably wasn't the same people...

No point bollocking Puel, the players aren't good enough

They aren't the same type of player at all and in fact play very differently. -
He was absolutely horrendous tonight. Worst player on the pitch and its a joke that he gets as much game time as he does. It's a damming indictment of our transfer policy from the summer. Why we never brought another attacker in I will never know.
-
It's not just the manager. He is failing with this system but we have sold all of our exciting players over the last few years. Sims was the only one prepared to run with the ball tonight without losing it (redmond). At least when we had some poorer players we had magic from Lallana, mane even Shaw and Clyne showed something special. Other than vvd we have a mush of middle of the road players with little personality and not a lot of skill. It makes for extremely dull performances and a pitiful goal threat. If puel can't do better then I would give him January but after that look to move him on. I went to 5 out of the 6 Europa games (and watched the other one) and we had virtually no goal threat in 4 of them. Concerning.
-
If anyone wants to protest on Thursday then I suggest that people consider them a bunch of losers and ignore them.
-
Massive lol. Mane clearly had loads of ability from the very start. Redmond has been gash for weeks. It's like comparing apples and pears.
-
Agree. The Prague away game is going to stay with me for a while...

Don't worry, pompeyonline.com know the reason for their poor home form... "I've spoken to a number of ex-Pompey players about what it's like to play at Fratton Park. The overriding sentiment is that, for players who are used to playing in front of typical lower league crowds, it can be extremely difficult to play in front of such a large and vocal home crowd. The pressure comes from the weight of expectation. They've all said that when we are on top, there's no better place to play. As for away teams, it's like going to a big ground in the FA Cup - there's less pressure, and that's why you see smaller teams rise to the occasion."
-
Are people really expressing surprise or disappointment at this news? He will follow the path every other player has and will most likely be sold in the summer or at the most the summer after that, hopefully for big bucks.

Europa League 2016/2017 (Died 8/12/2016)
hypochondriac replied to ScepticalStan's topic in The Saints
Just realised that the ticket collection point is 300 metres from where I'm staying. Pretty chuffed with that. -
People will probably dismiss this article as harmless PR fluff but considering the takeover rumours I reckon there is a lot more to it than meets the eye.
-
What an odd thing to say since I am neither American, a supporter of Trump or a disenfranchised member or the electorate. Probably best to stick to your stories about women's football and Italy. That's also incredibly dull but not as ill informed.
-
Very much agree with this Tim. Good post.
-
I just watched this and I'm surprised to find that I largely agree with him.
