I think the point is, if the buyer isn't adequately financed or their wealth is illiquid there won't be a club for us to chose to go and watch (or not). This is not about rights, it's about responsibilities. We are all, collectively, stewards of Southampton Football Club. We all collectively have a responsibility to protect and preserve our club, in whatever way we can and whatever way we feel we should, while upholding the principles that we collectively subscribe to as supporters of the Club. The Club and its supporters are in a state of symbiosis - one cannot survive without the other.

You may be right, but it's fairly straight forward to find nearly the whole contents of what they published within about 10 minutes, using freely available public sources of information and by spending the grand sum of £0. That is, all the companies he is a director of, any other companies he is a shareholder of, the turnover of those companies, where he lives, his date of birth, what type of house he lives in, how much recent similar houses have sold for. Probably more I've forgotten. To get the extra bits, they may have splashed out on the accounts and the electoral roll searches but the grand cost for all this is less than £10 and it's all instantly available upon payment. I'm not trying to "big" myself up here, just trying to say that the info is out there, it's just a case of knowing how to find it (more to life than Google, etc. etc.) - also being inclined to do the leg work of course. P.S. I have past experience in trace and pre-sue work, hence how I have a reasonable idea where to look.
