think you are way out on Melis. Not been his biggest fan but he was excellent today. Real attacking threat and involved in most of our good moves, unlucky not to score when he hit the post

Morgan was injured and would have started - Pardew said it was forced change. Mills I don't know but he was awful on Tuesday so guessing went with other options for wingers on bench

In my own personal opinion you have not got a clue what you are talking about!

I just described it as 4-1-2-3 on other thread! Wotton holding, Hammond/Mellis CM, three upfront. Think its credit to their movement that it is hard to pin down!

Wooton does not look comfortable on the ball, long passing not good, plays it sideways a lot BUT - positioned players all the time, was running off to talk to Pardew then adjusting things on the pitch, stuck his body in the way all the time and protected the defence excellently. Did his role very well indeed. Mellis had an excellent game, really wanted to be involved, very comfortable on the ball and seems to have a real understanding with Lallana - very influecial today and not far away from MoM. Lallana - excellent. Looks better in more central attacking role. James - ok, very dangerous when crossing. Lambert was awesome. Had 3 players on him a lot of the time, still one all headers and held the ball up. Very well taken goal.

think Mellis was central all game. solent on way to game announced the team with him CM as well

it was pretty fluid Wooton infront of back four Mellis and Hammond midfield pretty much three up front with Papa / Lambert / Lallana Papa was quite wide right a lot of the time but certainly not formal RM

weekly update, 13th to 10 th and now 8th! Clearly heading in the right direction (would be 15th, 6 points of play offs in league but for deduction) the only team to beat us (and only just) recently is top of current form

tbf, their roles of involvement - figurehead v businessman, and their expertise are a little different

honestly wouldn't miss them. Not as if they are well supported, sure they will still exist - probably at a level more suited to their support (swap with us!)
