if there was an argument or debate about it, you would be correct in saying it is ridiculous. Fortunately there is no debate to be had. You have had poor average attendances for all of my lifetime (and I am not young!). We have had about three home wins in the last 12 months, and am on minus points in the 3rd division and yet are beating your crowds in the premiership, despite you giving away 1,000s of tickets etc. You are one of the poorest supported clubs in top two divisions.
-
couple of their posters posted in the lounge that they were better supported. better supported than Eastleigh maybe! funnily enough not seen them since all average attendances, and us getting more in league 1 than they do in prem have shown them to be a very poorly supported club.
-
Critieria and preferences under each one in order; character - Hammond, Murty, Davis, Jaidi, Lambert position - Hammond, Jaidi, Murty, Lambert, Davis likely to play every game - Davis, Lambert, Hammond, Jaidi, Murty Hammond for me.
-
not really. 19.5 is an excellent average for a league one side - so if we better that we have done well - and shown we are well supported. 19.5 is a poor crowd for a premiership, if a club falls short of that capacity they are poorly supported. Capacity is only relevant when the ground is full.

mentioned on other threads but in case anyone has missed it, listen and enjoy! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/8268510.stm

OS said knock early on,played on for most of game and taken off as a precaution. worth reading before upsetting Alps!
-
won't call you lazy, maybe illiterate! first sentence and they even put it in bold to try to help those who find reading hard! The reserves suffered their first defeat of the season in a 2-0 defeat against a strong Reading side on Tuesday afternoon.
-
their new 14,000 seater stadium - capacity reviewed as they just realised they don't actually have very many fans at all!
-
when BT got called up to England squad Strachen said it was Oakley who should play for England and thought his form was best midfielder in country but in a non-flashy way (he put it better!)
-
or if their bad start runs for 25 games - that long without a point should relegate them!
-
was last year
-
Pardew on solent - he is not paid as much when injured as there were concerns about his injury record so needs to get playing. We are missing him big time as he sets off attacks
-
be funny if we double their gate at any stage this season being 2 divs lower
-
I would rather have 19,907 and a winning team!
-
prem on 0, or league 1 on -2 - got to be prem but whose fans are happiest, can see things getting better, can enjoy games, can see future - only us, therefore still our position for me
-
I agree. Think automatic and relegation are both out of the question. Bottom half surprising and disappointing. lower half of top half, ok and realistic - which means play offs would not be totally out of sight with a good run at some stage - but not counting on it
-
3 out of the 4 years before that 69 points would have been enough, the other year 70. Need a good season but not an absolutely amazing one, chances are less than 2 points per game will get us there.
-
going on last years table we need another 76 points this season to make play offs. we have 38 games left. exactly 2 points per game for the rest of the season. win our home games, draw away and we are there! couple of away wins will take pressure off and put us ahead of schedule to allow for inevitable defeats.

http://www.4thegame.com/statistics/league-one/tables/currentform.html this shows that over last 6 games we are both improving and making up ground on others. I would think that we are more likely than most to keep that improvement going due to; pressure of waiting for first win gone key players - Jaidi, Hammond, Trottman, Lambert were not here at the start of the season - some very recent but none for first game or two. I anticipate the current form table to soon show us into the top half. Once we are regularly performing with that form it won't be long before we are clear of the relegation zone - a few weeks. also the old thing of lack of preseason, no coaches etc.
-
I reckon more like 14,000 skates, 1,000 away and 21,000 empty seats. Way their crowds are going they ought to get a nice new modern 15,000 seater stadium and accept their poor poor level of support. Small club. Blue few! lol

not seen or heard anything in press even doubting first one.
-
we are only 10 points of 17th at the moment. In other words after our dodgy start putting our team together we have matched team in 17th place. I really see, now we have a decent team together, just gaining 10 points, over a season, on a the team in 17th as quite a easy target. I will be surprised, and disappointed if we are not top half. (still can't quite give up hope on play offs!)
-
yes to both
-
and now we are 13th see Coral's have 10 teams more likely to get relegated than us! lets start looking up the table!

don't know why I ended up with quite so many 's?
