  1. Reported £20k a week on offer.
  2. We had no bombers with the range to bomb Argentina and no bases in South America. The Harrier didn't have the range and would have put the Carriers in range of the Argentina Air Force if we had attempted it. The focus was to take back the Falklands, to do that the carriers needed to stay out of range of Argentina and in range of the Falklands. Missiles were unacceptable politically because we were getting help from the US and France.
  3. Birmingham 1-1
  4. Hoiveldt was excellent today and really gave us solidity winning everything and covering the back four. Schneiderlin looked like a real playmaker today and hit some very good medium and long balls to the forwards his best game this season. The formation with SDR wide gave us so much more. SDR seemed to be trying too hard at times but did two absolutely outstanding things besides having a very effective game. The cross for the goal was outstanding as was the chase of Scannell when he was clear away and winning the ball. Lallana several times took too many touches when an easier option was on and both he and Morgan gave the ball away several times when facing their own goal just playing it over their heads without looking when there were options in front of them but none behind them. Sometimes Lallana and Guly showboat too much and give the ball away but two excellent finishes. The rest of the players played well at a high tempo making us too good for Palace.
  5. It's an easy connection to make but an easy story to tell. I can't see us letting him go, it also looks like the cheap option for Newcastle which wouldn't happen. If they want him they will have to pay far more than he is worth.
  6. Let us know how you get on. As an aside my wifes cousin lives at Bondi, giving us stick over the weather. Take care.
  7. I didn't comment on others except my perception of the normality of the people that hunted against the apparent wierdos that try to disrupt hunts as seen on tv.
  8. No.
  9. 29 appearances last year, 33 previous year missing for about 1/3 of each season. We need better than that. Lambert is pretty much 95% but Connolly record is poor and Barnard is out for an extended period. If they buy him he will get goals if fit but it won't help us at all if he isn't fit for the run in. He could be a gamble but as it's already been said we've already had a difference of opinion about what happened in August that could have ended our interest.
  10. And previous seasons?
  11. I'm a country boy, born on a farm, once went to a meet forming up, interesting spectacle soon got bored. I'm not for or against hunting. I just think the people around hunts seem a lot more normal than the anti hunt activists that seem the same sort of wierdos that seem to inhabit 'peace camps', demonstrations etc tilting at windmills. If they really wanted to help the world helping to feed the homeless would be a start.
  12. Happy Christmas everybody.
  13. Good player gets goals but I think he has had several spells out injured and hasn't played much more than 60 % of games this season. We need a lot better than that for £3m. I'd prefer a striker with a 90 % fitness record at least.
  14. Try to email customerservices@performgroup.com they are the operators of Saints Player I believe. jsibley@saintsfc.co.uk Runs the Saints twitter feed and would know how to direct you.
  15. Thanks OSM, Happy Christmas to you.
  16. Teams have to compete for about the first hour to earn the right to play, that means to me in the really tight competitive games giving Hammond and Cork the nod. Schneiderlin coming on with the other two to close out the last twenty minutes works, as does starting in central midfield in the less competitive games but not as an attacker or wide midfielder. Having said that any two from three still gives us an effective midfield however the goal output from central midfield is poor and that makes for a real lack of goals when the three play together.
  17. I couldn't have put it better.
  18. You have misinterpreted what I said, I feel that Richardson has to play differently if De Ridder is wide right. He needs to be about 15 yds narrower to be able to play the ball to the corner and support on the inside. Too often De Ridder has to take the ball facing his own goal he needs the midfielders to put him behind the defence with angled through balls to use his pace. Then Richardson supports in the inside channel or the outside if De Ridder moves inside. At the moment he takes up a touchline position that makes De Ridder face him and have to play into our midfield or back to Richardson. There is no point in a quick wide player if he isn't given the right service.
  19. Leave him at Brentford playing games with an instant recall clause if needed.
  20. I like him but I think he needs decisive passing from midfield and behind to put him in behind the defence. 4 goals in few games especially playing in weakened teams. He needs less overlapping and more support.
  21. Some of the rule changes over time have caused this problem. Handball used to be easy, ball to hand no, hand to ball yes, covering vital parts when hit no. Any hand on a player wherever and for whatever reason should be a foul there is no place in football for hands to be used in any way. Letting it go just makes it worse. It's a blight on the game. Years ago if somebody grabbed a shirt it usually ended with an elbow somewhere and referees let it go. What idiot thought up the latest offside debacle, either make it when the ball is played without any played on by contact with an opponent or get rid of it altogether.
  22. So where did the long accepted term 'colour' bar come from. It's about time these politically incorrect idiots were weeded out. Just treat everybody as people irrespective of colour. Racism exists across the globe and whites suffer as much as any in parts of the world. This was nonsense and Hansen has done nobody any favours by apologising
  23. With approximately £90m of unearned income if we get promoted this year there is no way he will want to miss out on that. Next year is irrelevant and this year is a real bonus, already the manager has said we are looking to bring in one or two players, I think he might well bring in more than that.
  24. Good enough to score 8 league goals for the worst team in the league.
  25. Maynard may well choose not to sign for anybody in January, he can make a killing on a free transfer in 6 months time. Sharp hasn't played a lot of games this season although he is scoring goals, we would have to be sure apart from new injuries that he can stay out of the treatment room. Jutkawiecz may be a more robust option.
