  1. Honestly all this over a Teletubbie
  2. At the end of the day if a player, any player for that matter wants a move there isn't much a manager or board can do to stop it and in reality if a player doesn't want play for the club there is no point keeping them. It's going to be a huge test for RoKo but if the transfer budget is what we are led to believe it is including all the sales, then he could almost play "fantasy football" for real!! A huge test for any new manager but he won't want to fail under the PL spotlight so I am being positive about a new era for SFC.
  3. I am sure the board has ambition but within a structured environment and finances and that's what we as fans need to get our heads round. It is amazing how so many fans have taken on the mentality of some of the Scousers and Mancs thinking they have a god given right to be winning things and getting what we want, we haven't end of. To say we are a small number of players short of moving on to greater things may be true, but the type of player we would need we couldn't afford ,could we realistically pay those types of players £80-100k per week players as Shaw,Lallana are likely to be getting elsewhere on our income level, come on guys let's get some perspective. We have a stadium of 32,500 we couldn't sell out for quite a few games last season and the TV money will go so far but not enough to pay a squad an average of £70k a week which is where I suspect the next level we aspire to is and expecting KL just to keep paying the difference because she owns it is just a fantasists dream. Players come and go end of
  4. Huh only a three year contract what sort of commitment is that!!! (Does that help?)
  5. I expect Neil Ashton will be running a story tomorrow telling the world that Mancini has already e-mailed Saints asking for a transfer!!
  6. s: Totally agree it's becoming a recurring theme and happening too often for it to be just coincidence....hmmm
  7. : Oh dear can someone take his shoelaces away from him........suggest Alpine be placed on suicide watch:mcinnes:
  8. I am surprised that no one has produced a DVD with them on, come on Saints get it sorted!!
  9. Totally agree however the niggle I have is having lumped over £70m into a club and increased its value three fold, why asset strip it to the point of it becoming unsaleable or not worth the book value it would have with most of it's playing squad intact? Just doesn't add up to me
  10. Rabbit out of hat time Ralphie...only Rafa Benitez flanked by Lukaku and Bony picture in the newspapers tomorrow with the headline "Saints in triple signing sensation" will cut it now!
  11. I would be surprised if they did to be honest but there you go could be one of those German/Canadian/English lost in translation mishaps:lol:
  12. Speculation and conjecture based on nothing of substance.......sound like anyone you know?
  13. I agree thought that was one of the most interesting comments made in the whole interview. That will reveal how ambitious the board actually are!
  14. I hope your wrong! Even if the new board treated SFC purely as a business you are going to have to make a shrewd appointment to ensure the value of the business is maintained or improved as opposed to devalued, so not sure the digits in lug holes will last much longer
  15. Absolute quality free kick lets hope he does the same against The Spuds
  16. Fair comment but consider this it is alleged Benitez wants to come back to manage in the EPL, so you can rule out the top 4 clubs, Everton love Martinez after the season they have had, I won't mention the North London Yobbos and Man Ure have just appointed a new manger so the next in line are.....
  17. Judge him on the next manger appointment not on a scripted statement the press office drew up for him.
  18. So the the Spuds get a manager who can't be asked about the FA Cup and didn't want the Europa League.....err good luck with that then you ungrateful git..oh and by the way "the Malvinas" my ar*e, they are called the "Falkland Islands"
  19. Not so, 44 years home and away and a season ticket holder for 25 years, not bragging just suggesting that you are wide of the mark with your comment
  20. If my mum had b*ll*cks she would be my dad!!! Just leave it and move on you clowns.
  21. They played as if Poch told them he was leaving in the summer! What a missed opportunity that was can't believe how poor we were.....gutted
  22. Well we never got out of first gear but still can't understand team selection! Missed a huge opportunity today
  23. What a legend, the best value for money purchase I would reckon Saints have made. Now, attention Saints Marketing and Merchandising team, can we have a DVD of SRL's 100 League goals please?
