Post-Match Reaction: Leicester City 2-0 SAINTS
Graffito replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Absolutely right. Said this immediately after we conceded. Horrendous clearance by Gazzaniga but abysmal defending thereafter. -
Good player who played well today.
-
Ryan Bertrand's. I've a few years to go yet by which time this accolade will be long forgotten.
-
Something to tell the grandchildren.

Well illustrated. It feels right to say "none are" because its common usage from the BBC down but as "none" is an abbreviation of not one, its singular and should be "none is". Likewise with team and club. Routinely we refer to them in the plural. Redslo probably has it right in making them singular. Sorry. Yawn. Roll on Saturday.

Swiss Crumble.

So Prem matches would pass by Pirlo then? Cambiasso. Is he quick? I'll look out for him on Saturday.

http://leicester.camra.org.uk/data/documents/Leicester-CAMRA-Real-Ale-Trail-Leaflet.pdf http://leicester.camra.org.uk/pubs/pub-awards/ From LFC website: "The ground is walkable from the city centre (15-20 minutes), where there are plenty of pubs to be found. Most of the pubs near to the stadium are home fans only. In particular 'The F Bar' should be avoided by visiting supporters. Plus the 'Symphony Rooms' located just over the road from the away end, is another home fans bar. Andy Jobson a visiting Southampton fan informs me; 'Probably the best bet for away fans is the Counting House pub on Freemens Common Road. It has a good mix of both sets of supporters, with all the normal facilities on offer'. Beaumont Fox adds; 'This pub is located just off the Aylestone Road, behind the Local Hero pub (home fans only) and next to Morrisons Supermarket. It does though exclude away supporters when the game is deemed to be a 'high profile' one'. David Moore adds; 'If away fans fancy a quiet drink in a CAMRA Good Beer Guide listed pub then the Swan & Rushes (on Infirmary Square, near the Royal Infirmary) always has excellent guest ales on'. For those arriving by train, then as you come out of the main entrance turn left and cross to the other side and there you will find 'The Hind' which is rather a basic pub, but does have real ales. A better bet may be the Wetherspoons pub called the 'Last Plantagenet'. If you turn right out of the station and cross the road and turn left into Granby Street, then this pub is down on the left. Also not far away from the station in the general direction the ground, is 'The Pub' which located on New Walk. This modern bar boasts 15 hand pumps for real ale (many of which are supplied by local microbreweries), plus continental biers and lagers as well as cider too. The pub also serves food."

Who knows but one thing is clear, Haringey Council were desperate to keep Tottenham in the borough, as was the Mayor of London, because White Hart Lane development and associated infrastructure is an integral part of major regeneration of Seven Sisters Rd following the riots. An interest in the Olympic Stadium, fleeting or otherwise, would not have done any harm in levering in the funding. Bear in mind also that West Ham were always front runners for Stratford. Here also, the politicians wanted to keep them in Newham.

Murphy was trying to provoke him. Uncomfortable viewing. The bloke lost it again yesterday. He apologised. That should have been the end of it.
-
He's down to his last marble. Whether or not they stay up I can see him moving on or moving out before he implodes.
-
Perhaps it was also partly that you got it wrong.

There's nothing in those quotes about player sales which is necessarily good news given what was said last year and what actually happened. On Koeman he is simply repeating what Koeman said publically to a journalist, that he'll stay and honor his contract. Does the reference to Koeman having seen out his contract elsewhere suggest a degree of uncertainty? On the question of a larger squad for Europe, the notion of packing it with Academy kids just makes no sense. If the Academy kids are not good enough to be regular starters for the first team this season how are they going to conquer Europe. He is telling us we are unlikely to see Rodriques this season when I was hopeful we would see him back if only for a subs appearance. All in all I'm expecting more of the same this close season as last.

Howe 33-1 to be next England manager.

I was in the Glebe a few seasons ago. Nice old pub and good beer. Didnt notice any "looks".

Someone that leaves his kid behind in the pub is capable of forgetting anything.

Have to disagree with you on that. The article is gushing in its praise of the club to the point of being a bit over the top.

Victor Wanyama tells The Sun that Arsenal want to sign him
Graffito replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
The Newspaper reports are not unlike countless others concerning most clubs. In this case there are direct quotes. If the story is not true, why did Koeman feel the need to call a team meeting about it? Why did Wanyama deny a claim that wasn't made in the first place, i.e. that he hadn't spoken to Wenger, in an attempt at damage limitation, and then delete from Twitter? Ill judged comments that simultaneously p1ssed off Arsenal, Southampton, Koeman, Wanayama's agent (who cares?) and no doubt his team mates as well. Alternatively, it was all made up. I personally think Wanyama wanted to go at the end of last season and he wants to go at the end of this. -

Wanyama should know if you're in the sun too much you get burnt. Looks like a bit of hasty backtracking on twitter. -
A mere 8 caps! Tells us all we need to know about English football. I'd like to think he's get more caps if playing now but I'm not convinced he'd get the international recognition his talent deserved.

Could you explain please.
-
That's a very patronising post if I may say so.

Some right rubbish in there earning ridiculous salaries. What a joke club. If Schneiderlin goes there, and I don't think he will, it would be for the same reason half of that lot went there.
-
Me neither. I remember arriving at Wimbledon Station off the tube with lots of Saints and Palace fans and a lot of singing by both sets of fans through the station. That's about it. Why Wimbledon I'm not sure. Maybe coaches parked up there.
