He had an excellent first half. Probably our best player in that period.

We've now beaten the champions of England and the champions of Europe. Let's see whether the experts give us any credit. -
This building for the future is a load of crap. We've been building for the future since 1966 and we've won fck all. Football's played in the present. We haven't even qualified yet. If Caroll gets picked ahead of Lambert then that's it for me with England until the manger is replaced.

Is there any team you dislike more than Pompey?

England get on my wick. Love/hate though. -
I did the BBC predictor and had us finishing 10th. Perhaps a bit optimistic but I think we'll finish higher than 442 does. I see that 5 of Stoke's last eight are against sides below them. You can look at this either way. That this gives them an easier run. On the other hand should they lose some of those games they could be dragged right into it. They play Sunderland, Norwich, QPR, Villa as well as Saints. Their other games are against Everton, Manu and Tottenham. Could our final game of the season be a crucial one but not, as 442 see it, for us, but for Stoke? I had them staying up, just, but their recent form is not good.

This from Chelsea Supporters Group. Do they mean us? "Southampton supporters are also prone to dressing inappropriately. A few years ago they had Ronald McDonald prancing around on the pitch before the match with some kids. I was in a quandary. Was this a pitch invasion by their supporters, a cameo appearance by their then manager, Gordon Strachan or a somewhat inappropriate commercial venture? Southampton supporters would not be at sea in Ronald McDonald outfits. Cruise ship entertainers often have to don more ridiculous attire and, as we are all too aware, Southampton supporters are more than likely to be or to have been cruise ship entertainers. A whole city comprised of those whose childhood dreams led them to the docks. Please don’t emulate them."

Keeping their powder dry in case we don't qualify.

I've been in the away parts of several grounds over the years. You keep a low profile or you get chucked out.

Yep. Puts it in perspective. We remember a dramatic free kick of how many years ago?
-
Well what can you say. It's not like we haven't seen it all before.

"Lampard could have played tonight to be frank". Like it Roy.

correlation not cause.

Good player. Crap pundit. Bit thick.

He's right he did give Adkins reason not to play him and it wasn't that he threw a water bottle. He's improved. We're all happy with him. Why bring this up now?

They struggle for goals but they're not the only ones. His injury may not be critical to their survival. Thinking back to the match at SMS they were solid and uninspiring, a bit like Norwich. Think they'll just about stay up.

Did the BBC predictor and had us finsihing 10th which is because I am completely and unashamedly biased. In ascending order; Reading, QPR and Villa to go down, Villa having lost to Wigan on the final day (not the outcome I'd prefer as Villa is a good day out).

How many more times is this going to get recycled. This what happened. In the sequence before the corner was taken, Lallana wandered off and left unmarked the Skate who headed the goal. We probably man marked that day, or should have, so someone should have picked him up. Guly was guarding the post so not there to man mark. On the other hand, on Saturday he got caught square on to the attacker and even worse turned his back on him. A very basic error. Please try to be fair and even handed in your criticism. One other thing. He gets selected for his creative qualities which he hasn't always had credit for.

I suspect most of the stadium feared we'd concede just before half time because that's what we've done so often in previous matches, as pointed out above. Maybe the players will concentrate a bit better in future and Pochettino won't have to repeat the b@llocking.

Zola Budd, or Zola Thud as she became known. I don't remember her playing for England. Saw an interview with MS a while back when he was asked if he would play for England. He said simply, and trying not to sound haughty, "I am French". Think we can take that as a "non".

Just lacks a little confidence in front of goal. Probably just needs one or two to go in any old way and he'll be back to shooting on impulse instead of delaying a fraction.
