  1. Di Canio compares his team to a small dog. “The fans give you extra adrenaline. We know what it means to play in front of 40,000 who push for you. “Even a chiwawa can become a rottweiler!” Doesn't he know they're Cats.
  2. There's a very good chance you'll lose your money.
  3. Go back further there was Bobby Moore, Trevor Brooking. We had Channon, MLT, Shearer. It's a fair comparison with West Ham.
  4. Is a 9% increase moderate? I suppose by PL standards it might be.
  5. http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/hamilton-hall On the station concourse.
  6. I don't believe Cortese has signed to long contracts the key players in the squad with the intention of selling any of them a few months later.
  7. Of course we are in control of our own destiny.
  8. Stating the obvious but worth remembering that we can do absolutely nothing about results between other sides. We are 7 points clear of the relegation zone, we are high in the form table, there are just three games to play, one of which is against a relegation rival and another a home fixture against Stoke who are not world beaters and who probably will have little to play for. All positives.
  9. Wasn't someone on here telling us some months ago what a good manager Redknapp would be for Saints if he came back again?
  10. Why do you bother?
  11. So why place the bet?
  12. The biggest concern for me is the tactics used by WBA which totally nullified us and we failed to adapt. I was expecting a change second half but we got pretty much more of the same. Others will have taken note and will follow suit.
  13. They are obviously making stuff up, as usual, but it was a very poor performance by Saints. Quashie showed plenty of bottle and Camara scored a good goal but that's about it as I remember. Let's put it down to the Manager at the time who was too busy winking at his mates.
  14. Yes you are right about tickets sold.
  15. I have a ST but didn't go because bad weather disrupted the trains and I couldn't guarantee getting back to London for work next day. No way would I have missed the game otherwise. Regret not having gone as in the event it probably would have been ok but I suspect that some may have been dissuaded as I was.
  16. Well done on maintaining yours.
  17. Perhaps he wants to be offered an improved contract like some of his team mates. These stories surface at such times especially in the tabloids. Why would he leave for Fulham or Swansea.
  18. You need to score goals so what do you do, you spend £12m on a fat centre back.
  19. Without the option this time of going back to his spiritual home.
  20. Insufficient punishment whatever the rules and a kick in the b@llocks for the likes of Luton. Personally I miss the derbies. When they play Eastleigh maybe.
  21. It's not his fault. It's not his team. He said so. He said he'll put his own team together for next season and give it a good go.
  22. Pleased to hear Danny Fox did well today. I hesitate to be critical because he did well for us last season. But in the PL it seems to me teams target him as a weakness and double up on him which means he rarely gets forward and given the importance of full backs to the way we play his inability then to get forward means we lose balance and threat down the left hand side.
  23. Couldn't see anything wrong with Lallana's goal.
  24. Pompey's attendances less than half Saints', as now. Both sides at home though which hasn't been allowed for a long time.
