What would be REALLY stupid would be if they wasted all their money on the current terminally ill club and had nothing left for a phoenix club.

And all the parachute payments are already gone now, in compromises to get players to leave.

We already knew that, it's taken away automatically when a club goes into admin. Hence the conditions for them getting it back, (and also the reason they haven't got -10 yet, they haven't got the share back yet.)

Dominoes for the Trust bid now. Parachute payments have already been used to compromise with the players that have left, that alone leave a great honking hole in their financial estimates. Those parachute payments were also needed as security for the short term bridging loan from the council, so that's another hole in their financial estimates. Even if they get past the next few days, I don't see how they can avoid relegation now, crowds will drop off as there'll be nothing entertaining to watch... TV money next year will be less for them, that'll be another kick to the finances... I can't see any way out of this for them now.

We're gonna have to ask Steve about dedicated hosting for just this thread...

My personal view is that he shouldn't compete in the able bodied races. Without those limbs, he wouldn't be winning any races, it's not like taking away any other competitor's shoes. What he can do is amazing and inspirational, and I have the utmost respect for him, but that's what the Paralympics were set up for, for people like him to be able to compete. By letting him compete in the able bodied Olympics, it's like they're trying to pretend he doesn't have a disability, and saying "you're too good for the Paralympics". Paralympics is short for 'Parallel Olympics,' and it's meant to be on an even footing with the Olympics, but the converse of the above is basically saying to all the other Paralympians that they're not good enough. THAT'S the main reason I don't think he should be allowed to compete, the message it sends out about the Paralympics.
