  1. If only someone had thought of this before!
  2. From a purely administration point of view, the club hasn't lost £1m (but only due to the £1m cash injection.) At the moment, it's not the administrator's money at risk, but the people that have injected that £1m. That's the only reason the plug hasn't been pulled yet.
  3. If we're a computer simulation, it doesn't change the fact that there must be a real world in which this is being simulated...
  4. I'll have some of that So at the very least, they need to convert one pledge every hour that Birch works between now and the rearranged court date, just to be able to turn up in exactly the same position they're in now...
  5. Cheers for the info VMAN. Please keep the bickering to a dull roar so that we can get some useful info from this thread eh?
  6. Could work in our favour if they get a good performance against Man Utd and hit the inevitable lull afterwards against us. (It's what I'd worry about if it was us anyway lol)

Yes, there is 'evidence.' Including here on Earth... Oh wait. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQvDW5qj3XI

  9. Aye the league is full of successful, profitable football clubs. And there's a strong precedent for large successful community run businesses in the world. What could possibly go wrong?
  10. A quick bit of superficial Googling suggests this is bad news for the PST.
  11. I wonder how Corp Ho is taking the news...
  12. Even at this stage I think a top half finish is way beyond us, much like earlier in the season we're highly likely to be playing catch-up on the teams currently around us, let alone anyone further up the table. Clearly anything's possible, you only have to look at what Norwich have done in the last 6-8 weeks or so, but there's already a group from Norwich upwards who have got a 7-point cushion over us just as we enter a two-month period of very difficult games. I know that in my head, it's more a case of supporter's syndrome, where a few good results and suddenly anything is possible lol. (and like I said, a few bad results will send me right back the other way...)
  13. Personally, I consider him the greatest player ever. One of my bucket list items is to see him play live.
  14. One good thing from the weekend's results is that we can no longer be bottom at Christmas this season, even if every result goes against us (which I don't think it will). I'm feeling very optimistic now, even as far as thinking top half might be a possibility by the end of the season. No doubt I'll be fearing relegation again if we slip up when we should win...
  15. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-20630934 Already starting to find alternatives then... Don't Portsmouth give tickets away every week to the Navy? Seems they can't even give their tickets away now...
  16. Used to love watching GamesMaster, and still watch The Sky at Night now. RIP
  17. No worries, done.
  18. Close between Cork and Puncheon I reckon. Honourable mention for Shaw.

  21. Being the head scientist doesn't make you good at PR http://www.hawking.org.uk/life-in-the-universe.html Hawking's views cover things better than I ever could I reckon.
  22. He jumped up and tipped it off the head of a Saints player rushing in. No question.
  23. Not so sure about that. It's probable that Mars and Earth both came from the same accretion disk around the same star, and so both had similar starting conditions. It could be that life is limited to this solar system, and that's without actually finding life on Mars yet. We simply have no way of telling without actually finding something that proves otherwise.
  24. FAO Neil Allen: http://www.saintsfoundation.co.uk I know it might seem alien to you, but this is a club that doesn't steal money from charities and then leach the awesome effort of its own fans to restore some of its own shattered reputation.
  25. Suspect he's referring to this: http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2012-09/11/curiosity-bacteria-mars Pretty huge mistake to be fair. That said, one bloke getting excited by (then) unverified findings is vastly different to the organisation as a whole announcing something. I don't blame them for wanting to verify, especially in light of how difficult it is to eliminate contamination from Earth.
