  1. This. We just got one ourselves today, it's a fantastic picture.
  2. Would have taken that before the match. Was Ramirez' shot over the line?
  3. Ah well, just 1m left to raise to get back to the start line after that 2m floating charge was missed. Providing they earn at the same time enough to pay for the legal costs and admin fees that are racking up after the court case was delayed.
  4. What category academy are they expected to get? Category 3 can't coach players until they reach 11, and category 4 would have to wait until they reach 16. Concentrating on youth just doesn't ring true when it's part of the PST's plan to ditch it.
  5. If this thread ever does end (hah!) it should be FF bookending it and ending it with just a Spike Milligan misquote. 'I told you they were ill'
  6. Black holes are obviously a divide by zero error. Whoever's out there should take a look at that.
  7. Whatever it is, there's nothing that can surprise me anymore.
  8. The running of a computer simulation doesn't imply the creation of sentience. In the case that it doesn't, we're left with the original actual existence as the only possibility. This leaves the probability that we're a simulation tied to the probability that sentience can be created in a computer simulation, rather than the probability that an 'existence' is either the original, or one of an almost unlimited number of simulations.
  9. Never mind the football, the finances, or the rivalry for the moment. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/pompey-fan-dies-in-car-park-after-preston-match-1-4592667 RIP.
  10. I can't see Pompey in their current form surviving, but who out of them will have the money or the will to carry on with a phoenix club once this farce has played out?
  11. If only someone had thought of this before!
  12. From a purely administration point of view, the club hasn't lost £1m (but only due to the £1m cash injection.) At the moment, it's not the administrator's money at risk, but the people that have injected that £1m. That's the only reason the plug hasn't been pulled yet.
  13. If we're a computer simulation, it doesn't change the fact that there must be a real world in which this is being simulated...
  14. I'll have some of that So at the very least, they need to convert one pledge every hour that Birch works between now and the rearranged court date, just to be able to turn up in exactly the same position they're in now...
  15. Cheers for the info VMAN. Please keep the bickering to a dull roar so that we can get some useful info from this thread eh?
  16. Could work in our favour if they get a good performance against Man Utd and hit the inevitable lull afterwards against us. (It's what I'd worry about if it was us anyway lol)

Yes, there is 'evidence.' Including here on Earth... Oh wait. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQvDW5qj3XI

  19. Aye the league is full of successful, profitable football clubs. And there's a strong precedent for large successful community run businesses in the world. What could possibly go wrong?
  20. A quick bit of superficial Googling suggests this is bad news for the PST.
  21. I wonder how Corp Ho is taking the news...
  22. Even at this stage I think a top half finish is way beyond us, much like earlier in the season we're highly likely to be playing catch-up on the teams currently around us, let alone anyone further up the table. Clearly anything's possible, you only have to look at what Norwich have done in the last 6-8 weeks or so, but there's already a group from Norwich upwards who have got a 7-point cushion over us just as we enter a two-month period of very difficult games. I know that in my head, it's more a case of supporter's syndrome, where a few good results and suddenly anything is possible lol. (and like I said, a few bad results will send me right back the other way...)
  23. Personally, I consider him the greatest player ever. One of my bucket list items is to see him play live.
  24. One good thing from the weekend's results is that we can no longer be bottom at Christmas this season, even if every result goes against us (which I don't think it will). I'm feeling very optimistic now, even as far as thinking top half might be a possibility by the end of the season. No doubt I'll be fearing relegation again if we slip up when we should win...
  25. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-20630934 Already starting to find alternatives then... Don't Portsmouth give tickets away every week to the Navy? Seems they can't even give their tickets away now...
