Reckon they're relying on the PPs being available as security to secure the loan from the council, and are trying to negotiate with the players to get THEM to accept being paid on the never never instead of from the PPs. If that's the case, with their recent credit history, I wouldn't be surprised that the PFA are telling them where to go.

AFC Pompey Takover Saga?

Any particular highlights?

I may have got a little carried away heh. I'm 27, but this is the first Premier League season ticket I've had, and Man City are certainly the biggest scalp I've seen us take when I've been at the game. I've seen the JPT, the promotion deciders, and the last day escape since we were relegated from the Prem, and all of those were perhaps better atmosphere, more riding on them, but seeing us deservedly beat Man City, the current champions, is the first time I've been there to see us take a huge scalp with my own eyes.

That has to be the best game I've ever been to. Cork was immense, Yoshida was an absolute rock at the back, the whole team gave it their all out there.

That's the real damage the new bid has done. It's demonstrated that the PST had already undervalued Fratton Park by at least £250k
-
Says the one that started the whole bloody thing!

There's a fudge factor with administration, as it's intended to rescue a business as a going concern while acting in the interests of creditors, and maximise the return for creditors only in the event keeping the business as a going concern is impossible. Losing the golden share could be seen as the same as stopping them being a going concern, arguably, leaving the PST as the only option that leaves the possibility of carrying on as a going concern.

Wow. If the PST really is the ONLY option the FL is willing to accept... They really are screwed. The failed bid will have created evidence for a higher value for Fratton Park, for a start. Not to mention all the problems they already had. With the FL being forced into making that statement, the possibility of a white knight has been removed, and I really can't see any possible way out for them now.

Ahem...

New bid fails because of the FL. http://www.football-league.co.uk/footballleaguenews/20130207/portsmouth-statement_2293334_3068475 Also states that it REALLY IS 'Trust or Bust'

On a side note, that's feeling more and more like a bloody lucky escape.
-
Would think this could have a significant impact on the perceived value of Fratton Park.

Just when we thought it was all coming to an end

Has to be a wind up, surely? (No pun intended)

Let's start a charity collection to remind that lot down the road what three points look like.

2008 called and asked for its story back.

So can Chris Huhne...

Heh. I just imagined what some of our less optimistic posters on here might be like if they supported Pompey at the moment.
-
Think tonight has extinguished the last bit of hope they had that they might have been able to finish the season in admin and stay up if they avoided the -10

This.

And I was actually starting to think they'd get a point...

I guess best case scenario for the English game at the moment is that it's suspicion on the opposition in whatever game it was. (That said, if this is the tip of the iceberg, I'd find it bloody funny if it eventually turns out Pompey's brief foray into Europe is brought into it.)

Only one UK match suggests it's a team that's not been in the Champs League regularly during that time. (To me anyway, would have thought they'd have found a bigger pattern if a team had been there more.)
