The best thing about this is that even the most ridiculous, convoluted, unbelievable story lines from the worst tv shows look sane and normal by comparison. I'm not really sure when the Pompey Takeover Saga jumped the shark. Maybe when the convicted fraudster was bought in to manage the finances? That really wasn't believable, it felt like the writers were just trying too hard with that one and had just gone a step too far.

If The Express have been getting that kind of grief from the PST, it's no wonder that they reacted the way they did to Allen defending it.
-
The PST really shouldn't have messed the players about (again). Reckon we'll see more and more of these types of articles now, because I don't think the media are on Pompey's side any more.
-
That's not going to stick. Nope. Not at all.
-
Because the courts are expensive, take time which Pompey don't have, and probably aren't going to go in Pompey's favour this time... Next. The real question you should be asking is whether this 'free' 15% would make the fans liable for some of the repayments on the debt.

Messing the players about finally seems to be turning the media against them. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/fa-league-cups/jason-pearce-manchester-citys-players-live-in-different-world-8498198.html

Is Allen really complaining that Harris would rather talk to SSN than The News? Deluded fool
-
Hm, isn't that the team we had 50k watching at Wembley as we strolled to a cup win? And around 10k of them just celebrated a draw against them like they won a cup?

Any chance of a copy of the pm?

How bad is it for Micah Hall? Could it end up affecting the takeover?
-
You must have been inflating them too much... On a more serious note, if all the PFA did was ask for clarification on why the bid was turned down, who actually caused the adjourment?
-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tyne-21450584 That can't be helping them!
-
Actual statement says it's £2.5M in escrow from fan pledges AND individual investors. They're barely covering just the missed £2M even with the HNWs. As for the loan, it's still subject to the same conditions (so not actually handed over yet.) http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21444012 Basically, they're in exactly the same position as yesterday, except now they've got the extra hurdle of the PFA to get past. The PST is using more spin than Shane Warne at the moment.
-
You think it will happen eventually then!
-
From the PFA. 'The goalposts of the bid have been changed again and where once the players would have been the first to have been paid, they are now the third' No wonder they're worried about the PST bid.
-
It's like a Sunday Ref trying to give a team time to equalise at the end of a match, but it's looking more like they'll concede at the moment.
-
That's actually a really good move on the PST's part, if they've managed that. I'd assume that this relies on them getting the ground away from Chanrai first. Would be difficult for the council to take away the ground even if they can't keep up with repayments (politically, rather than legally). I'd be surprised if the council have agreed to that though.
-
There was a rumour yesterday that it had been adjourned yet again, to be announced today. Maybe it was true?
-
Reckon they're relying on the PPs being available as security to secure the loan from the council, and are trying to negotiate with the players to get THEM to accept being paid on the never never instead of from the PPs. If that's the case, with their recent credit history, I wouldn't be surprised that the PFA are telling them where to go.

AFC Pompey Takover Saga?

Any particular highlights?

I may have got a little carried away heh. I'm 27, but this is the first Premier League season ticket I've had, and Man City are certainly the biggest scalp I've seen us take when I've been at the game. I've seen the JPT, the promotion deciders, and the last day escape since we were relegated from the Prem, and all of those were perhaps better atmosphere, more riding on them, but seeing us deservedly beat Man City, the current champions, is the first time I've been there to see us take a huge scalp with my own eyes.

That has to be the best game I've ever been to. Cork was immense, Yoshida was an absolute rock at the back, the whole team gave it their all out there.
