  1. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22078110 Nothing planned.
  2. When winning at half time, our record of getting at least the draw goes back about 50 games now.
  3. Don't see that as a good thing for Pompey. If the ruling goes against Chanrai, the judge's previous poor judgement might convince the courts to give the right of appeal, the time for that would kill the club.
  4. It's the Saintsweb version of Godwin's Law.
  5. Stepping back from the rivalry for a moment, hats off to this guy. That's impressive. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-22057337
  6. We're not even available with the bookies that are offering a 'to escape relegation' market.
  7. I'd like to see Adkins pick Ben Reeves up on loan for next season from us for Reading. (Maybe a few other youth players as well?) It'd do him good to play a season in the Championship, Adkins knows him, and it'd be good for us for him to be playing in a team using Adkins style of play. It'd let us see if he's good enough yet as well.
  8. I usually think of a good goal difference as being worth half a point. Really can't see both Sunderland AND Wigan getting seven more points than us. Time to look at aiming for top half!
  9. Don't think he was intentionally trying to kick him in the head, but the ref had no choice there.
  10. Rode our luck a bit early on, with ALF's shocking miss and the penalty shout, J Rod's goal turned it. Few close calls went (correctly) our way, but we were comfortable once we got in front and started playing it about. Boruc really is mad Finally feels like we're safe, one more point would seal it I reckon.
  11. Ok, let me put it this way, if he was sacked for results reasons, my opinion is that expectations were too high for a team and manager that still had League 1 players, and had achieved back to back promotions to arrive in the Prem two years ahead of schedule.
  12. Didn't (and still don't) agree that Adkins deserved to be sacked, but it more that we wanted to bring in Tino than get rid of Adkins, and there's no question that we've been better under Tino so far.
  13. That was just AVB being (probably overly) optimistic in the post match interview. His scan isn't even until today, and they won't have a clue until that happens. The angle and speed at which his foot twisted... I hope he's right, regardless of it meaning we'd have to face him, but like I said, I'd be surprised.
  14. Aye, looked terrible :/ I'd be surprised if he plays again this season.
  15. Even funnier is how far out QPR's position is according to his predictions.
  16. Seems like 4th best in Prem at least from open play. http://bwinbetting.com/leagues/premier-league/lambert-give-boss-adkins-royal-awakening,38901.html
  17. Three teams (not promoted teams) have done it before, we're one of them, and I believe the others are Villa and Middlesbrough. No newly promoted team has stayed up having lost the first three though (let alone the first four - yet.)
  18. There's a very good indicator that we don't need to clear out the team wholesale to improve. A lot of our players are on the radars of 'big' clubs to try and buy off of us.
  19. Both 7 points adrift with 7 to play now, no team's ever come back from that.
  20. See what you did there Reading for me, need to make sure we turn up against a 'lesser' team, probably the easiest game we have left, would probably see us safe by itself, and can't see us needing more than 1 win in 7 after that to guarantee it.
  21. ¡Corre! ¡Corre! ¿Qué es el inglés para corre?
  22. Good point. Swansea weren't the current holders when we played them at home though, so we have a complete sweep of last season's champions? Chelsea for the Champion's League and FA Cup, Man City for the Premier League, Liverpool for the League Cup, and Reading for the Championship.
  23. Ooh! Good catch!
  24. I make that the current Premier League Champions, the current League Cup holders, the current FA Cup Holders, and the current Champions League holders (as well as the beaten FA Cup Finalists) we've put away at St Mary's this season. St Mary's, Graveyard of Champions. Brilliant perfomance, two absolutely magical goals. Felt like we were struggling and tired the last 20, but we held out, and retook control for the last 5, when it looked like Chelsea had run out of ideas. J-Rod MotM for me.
  25. And now, Portsmouth are guaranteed next season to once again be lower than we have EVER been.
