  1. So we now have a method for remembering which colours are which hardness thanks to Brundle... (Or at least, Brundle is the first one I've heard say this) Silver - Hard - Knife White - Medium - Toast Yellow - Soft - Butter Red - Super Soft - Jam And for the sake of completeness: Blue - Intermediate Wet - Fairly obvious Orange - Extreme Wet - The one that's left over... It's going to be a nightmare to tell the difference between the tyres as the colours are on the side and difficult to see while the cars are running. We'll have to rely on the commentators keeping track at the start of the race and pit stops, would have preferred it to be on the running surface like the green stripes on the Bridgestones last year...
  2. Here we go, nearly time for the first lap times put down in anger of this season... Looks like Red Bull might have been sandbagging a bit judging by their FP3 times...

    Tonights games.

Great results, not half as worried about Huddersfield as I was about Peterborough on that run. Can't help feeling that suddenly seeing us above them with a game in hand, despite that run they had been on, might have got to them a bit... Now for a day of sport, with F1 Qualifying being followed by England Cricket being followed by the Wales v England match

    Tonights games.

Yeah, don't mention... that. Things went right against us when I did...

    Tonights games.

This is more nerve wracking than listening to Saints...
  6. Prefer automatic of course. Then again, it is about time we won at Old Trafford again...
  7. According to FM he's 29 now... (Ok, ok, I've been playing a while, born in 87 according to FM)
  8. OK Alpine, I'll bite. If you want to disregard the games in hand, fine, we're still two points off of second, and Huddersfield have to play Peterborough soon. We can catch them even without the games in hand. So what it comes down to is you want to give up because we might have injuries to two players to keep them out for a couple of games? Despite the fact they might be fit again for the next game, or that we might win without them, or that the teams around us might lose, right now, after we've got 13 points out of the last 15, which is more than our rivals, after one 'bad' result in which we kept our unbeaten run going, because you're worried about how serious a couple of injuries might be, you want to give up? Bit too early for that. Also remember that Adkins was a physio, we've already seen with Lallana this season that they won't play if they're not ready.
  9. So we, A LEAGUE ONE TEAM, lose £18M of talent from the pitch due to injury, and then people moan we don't have a deep enough squad when we can't replace them? Bloody Hell, just those two players are valued ten times as much as some entire squads in this division. Not having better players affects EVERY team, just look at Man Utd against us for your first example. Yes last nights result was disappointing, gutting even, but with our games in hand we can still get to 2nd. That point means we're now above Peterborough, that'll hit them pretty hard, especially as we have a game in hand still, we can match their results, have a slip up, and still finish above them. Huddersfield we're in an even better position against. So that's 13 points from the last 15. We may have lost Lallana and Chamberlain to injury, but we now have ten days for either them to recover, or for Adkins to work out how we play without them to give ourselves the best chance. It might end up not being pretty but I don't care if we still manage to pick up points. My confidence in this team has come right back up over the last couple of weeks, we might not be 'playing well' as some on here keep moaning, and it might not be the prettiest football, but the stats are always saying that Kelvin has very few saves to make compared to his opposite number, so our tactics are obviously working. We're giving ourselves a good chance to win, the nature of chance is such that you don't always take those chances, but we'll be set up all over again next game, with a good chance of winning, and I'm confident we'll do a better job of trying to take that chance.
  10. Not the end of the world, would have been pretty happy with a point back when this was first going to be played, and everything still under our control.
  11. Think it was in on SSN. But that officials were right not to give it as there's no way they could have known for certain it was in, needed technology to know for sure.
  12. So the last time we won at Charlton was a year we got promoted? Come on! Well up for this game now...
  13. Win tomorrow, and be two points ahead of Posh with a game in hand, and CMS might start to make a few more noises about leaving...
  14. Great result.
  15. http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/football-league/league-one/5919/4/exclusive-mackail-smith-vows-fire-peterborough-promotion-after-missing-ou Make of that what you will. Words from the player himself there though, so I reckon he'll be staying til the summer.
  16. There's always the chance the speculation and interest will cause him to not be completely in the game tonight... would be handy if he doesn't play to his best, we could do with posh dropping points.
  17. And the title be changed.
  18. Results do tend to go our way when we're not playing...

    Tokyo Tsunami

Deppo, come on. Normally you know just about where the line is, and that in itself annoys some people, but here you've crossed it.
  20. Nice to see him put a goal past David James there ^^
  21. With regards to Adkins, I personally feel it's worth remembering he's still young in management terms. I reckon we've seen him improve a fair bit as a manager just in the time he's been here, and we could have a really good one there... Thomas, with respect to the fact you probably don't want to reveal who your source is, how confident are you in them? Have they had good info before?
  22. It'll be funny if we both go up to see Bournemouth trying to make out they're bigger rivals to Portsmouth than we are...
  23. But if you manage to get through today you know you can get through any day!
