Saw this thread and was on it in a flash. Didn't realise Alps started it. 100% agree that its a pivotal 4 games. If we are still top after them I think the belief it will create will last the season. If we lose the lot, well there will be some adjusting of expectations lets say.

All going to be a bit moot once the Germans stir again and the Deutsche Marks start rolling off the presses. Going to be every man for himself again, wait and see.

Nothing to pick the bones out of there. First class demolition of a standard Championship outfit shows we are capable of doing things at this level. Next four games will tell us more, and have the potential to shape the whole season. Derby, West Ham, Reading, Middlesbrough. Six points from those four games and we can set a realistic goal of a top 2 finish imo. Regardless, well done lads today, enjoy the win. Feels great to be a Saint right now.

Disappointed not to get something at a weakened Cardiff. Hopefully bounce back with a win Saturday, or its going to start to look like a wobbly wheel on the bus. Being top is a fabulous achievement though, so still very happy with the way things are going and confident going into the weekend.

Its an OK result if you see Saints true position as 6th - 12th. But Adkins and Cortese will be disappointed I feel. Good to have ambitious Chairman and Manager. Happy enough with where Saints are and looking forward to Cardiff.

As you've seen the Pig you could try the Story Bridge Hotel for the rugby - will be great for the Aussie v Ireland game in there. Cracking pub. Under the bridge - opposite side of the river to the CBD. Go over on the ferry from Riverside to Holman Street.

No - not a Sports bar, but worth a visit before kick off. Then head to the Pig and Whistle (down by the Riverside Ferry stop) for the sport. It'll be open into the small hours Sunday morning for the EPL too. HTH
