Been a long season. Lots of differences aired and spats kicked off. At the end, we are going to get what we all wanted. Promotion. As we are due to nail it to the mast from 3pm BST Saturday I am suggesting we have a party thread for us Forum Warriors who can't get to SMS. I plan to be parked next to my laptop midnight Saturday with a six pack of cold ones to toast the season as the match progresses. Who's up for a spot of virtual partying and some drinking games based around Saints and Huddersfield goals Saturday?

It means enough to regularly stay up beyond 2 or 3am just hoping someone updates the forum with a Saints goal, or the BBC Live Videprinter gets there first. It also means the Brisbane Saints are getting together for Promotion Beers!! And next season we get to watch Saints on TV a lot more!! Get in!

I'm going for investment in the squad and ambitious plans for next season. And maybe we're signing Liam Lawrence.

Me and Cookie were thinking maybe the FA Cup Final at the Pig and Whistle a week Saturday. We can wear the stripes and support Stoke as they are Saints Reserves anyway. I can't get there until about 10:30 as I'm pulling a shift at the AFL but you guys can eat first and could meet you there...? In an ideal world, a quiet opening beer and a Wagyu burger about 10:30 at MooBar then on to the Pig would be perfect for me....

Just brilliant. Fantastic week to be a Saints fan. Completely unable to get on the match thread yesterday as despite fixing my router, the Saints Forum server just would not let me in all game. Listened on justintv instead and went to bed delighted at 2am. Full day at work today and still smiling!!

Get in. Router fixed, viruses kicked into the long grass. All set up for a great evening. Moved to Brisbane from Kingsbridge just after the home defeat to Preston and have lots of Janner mates in Devon. They are very quiet indeed - the towel is almost in for them. Come on You Reds!!!

Picked a great day for the router to pack up. Will have to huddle around the iPhone in the small hours with Bright Spark.

Thanks for naming this thread 'Promotion match build up - Monday'. Presumably if we fail to win you are going to get in first with 'Promotion match build up - Saturday'. Are you some sort of masochist? Don't you think there's enough pressure already? Unbelievable. I would seriously ask the Mods to consider editing the title before too many players read it. There's a line between positivity and stupidity.

Paddy Power have us at 1/80 for promotion. Bet Fred 1/33. Bet 365 1/20. The best you can get is 1/14. The bookies think we are nailed on. If we win at Plymouth on Monday (8/13) then I think we're up!!

Huddersfield and us are the class in this division. Brighton have massively overachieved. We will get a win at Plymouth and then all the other results don't matter. One game to put it all right and achieve the seasons objectives. Roll on Monday.

We are 1/12 for promotion. I would imagine if we win and Hudds lose, we will shorten to about 1/100. It'll all be over bar the calculators. Could be a big night. I have the red bull to hand. WIFM.

Good debate. I have my view, others have theirs. Wars have been fought over this. But I can't get that worked up. There's a bigger deal over at Griffin Park. I'm going to move on.

What are you on? Have you ever walked around Westminster Abbey or the Tower? These countries you mention have NOTHING that compares to the history and grandeur of our Monarchy. Not even close. And they are jealous as ****. If I had my way I'd have revolutionary republicans banged up in the Tower for a bit to have a think about things. And to be fair, the Monarchy couldn't have made any worse a job of running the country than Gordon Brown.

Agree with this. Thankfully Adkins is focused on Brentford alone. Brighton managing to get up and take something off Huddersfield would be a bonus.

Brighton have massively overachieved this season and Huddersfield, like us, are a class apart. Expect a Huddersfield win.

Another win - terrific stuff. Must be knocking the stuffing out of Hudds. Fair play to them though for keeping the pressure on. They'll be worried about their trip to Brighton - we could be up by 5pm Saturday y'know. If not, 2 wins from the last 3 will do it anyway. Onwards we go together.
