Tough tough game - especially with our injuries piling up. A draw would be a good result, but we really need the win. Time to show some promotion form mettle.

Didn't like his comments before Sturrock left - but would have him back. Saints legend. Can still do it.

Saints v Charlton post match thread....
Kingsbridge Saint replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
Good win, it's coming together, but could easily lose Saturday while Udders beat Posh. 5 points behind - 2 games in hand. Ain't so rosy is it? No time to take the foot off the pedal. Hope the injuries clear up. Well done lads, keep it going. -
This is probably the most straightforward of the 3 games in hand we have on Huddersfield. we really need the win and then we can settle for draws. Drawing this one would not be good.

Many a lazy Friday afternoon wiled away playing Bingo down there. lol.

1-0 will do. Would be nice to score in the first half for a change.

I saw Brisbane come from 2-0 down in the last 3 minutes of extra time in the A League final. There were hundreds of people gave up and left the stadium that weren't allowed back in for the penalties. Which Brisbane won. I never gave up then, and I never gave up yesterday. Glad the players had the same spirit. Still could be the play offs though - we need to start games better. Got out of jail yesterday.

Never ever give up. I didn't. Massive win. Well done lads. -
Good result for us, but we will all be feeling a bit different tomorrow night if we draw with the Dons, Udders do the expected at Tranny and we're 7 points off an auto spot. We simply have to put the Dons away now, and Capitalise.

Has Ed Miliband shot himself in the foot?

One of my reasons for emigrating was what Brown was doing to the country. Balls would have been, and still could be, even worse. Cameron might not be the man to sort it completely, but he's the only show in town. A lot of pain ahead for the UK if the Unions and public sector workers don't wind their necks in. And before you think I'm a right wing fascist I would nail the fcking bankers too. Fcking disgrace to capitalism. Bring back Tyburn for those bstards. -
I would say 4 is a bit young. She might get bored and never want to go again. If you wait til she's about 6 and say no a couple of times first she will be a fan for life. Besides, we'll be in the Prem then as well.

9,6 and 4 is a bit young for a ski trip. Wait 4 years, save up and go to Banff. Well worth it. Just don't break your shoulder like I did! -
Ten to go - how many points will we need?
Kingsbridge Saint replied to EBS1980's topic in The Saints
I have just done the Predictor and i think we will need 91. That means we just need 26 more points from our last 10. So we can afford either one defeat or two draws. -
If they're fit they play, if they're not they rest. Regardless we have to raise our game, grow some balls and set out to win every game between now and the seasons end. We should not be settling for 'twists and turns'. We had the opportunity to set out down the road of putting some distance between us and the pack, but yet again, for the umpteenth time, we have completely ****ed it up. We need to win 6 on the bounce and stuff all the twisty turny nonsense. Sort it out Adkins.

Charlton 1 - 1 Saints - Post Match Reaction

Another open door Saints fail to walk through. Different season, same ****. Saw it coming a Mile off. Need to develop some mental toughness pdq or we're play off bound. Very disappointing. -
Vital game. Every time a door of opportunity opens for Saints they seem incapable of walking through it. NOW, is the time to move into the top 2. If we fail to win, we have a long long wait to stew and wait for our next game while the leaders pull away again and the end of the season gets closer...and the pressure mounts.Charlton are better than Walsall. We have to win, or it's all going to tighten up horribly.

Don't forget the paper thin squad will get tired when it really counts. Shame.

No Ifs, No Buts, We Have To Win Tomorrow To Go 2nd!!!

Once again the door of opportunity opens. So many times we have failed to walk through. -
5-0 to the Posh I reckon. They truly are an unstoppable force right now. Which is why we can't afford any more slip ups.

All about the results. But if the performances don't improve we'll be heading for the playoffs. Apart from a twenty minute spell in the second half, and a brief flicker at the end of the first half we were very pedestrian, very ordinary indeed. It's not a team thing - just lots and lots of individual errors - cracking under pressure - poor first touches, misplaced passes, moving the ball too slow, strolling around. I expected better to be honest. Take the 3 points though, and hopefully performances will improve with the confidence results bring.

Ref gave most 50/50's their way. Barney got smashed all game and got nothing. The 'foul' where he let the ball drop into the space in front of him instead of allowing the Wednesday player a free run was exactly why referees like this are viewed as incompetent. If that's a foul, the rules need changing. Anyway, he was from Peterborough, so his interpretations are understandable.
-
Meanwhile back in the real world you were sh1t last season when it mattered and are going to choke again this season. Really not worried about you Northern gravy boys, just Peterborough
-
Must win game. Obviously. Right now there is absolutely no margin for error.
