  1. Hoping to get tickets together for the Final. Would be good to get some organisation on this. Have asked Matt to see if he has any ideas. Hopefully news on here or by txt before the tickets go on sale.
  2. I reckon SC bigging up the play offs is to get Chinny to chuck some more money in the biscuit tin to keep the show on the road for another month. The end of the line is coming though. If they don't go up, I reckon it's admin time again.
  3. Can we just pretend to be Brighton this weekend. They always seem to win.
  4. I am not confident we are going up this season. It is far too tight, we are very inconsistent, and we are 5th for a reason. Not good enough.
  5. FFS yet again all our rivals have shoo ins and we have a tough away game. Need to win.
  6. Any Saints fans wanting to meet up for a beer before the Mariners game I will be in the Caxton in the bar with the big screen from about 5:30. It will probably be showing the second half of the Super 15 game Hurricanes v Crusaders I would think. Anyway, great 2-0 win away in the first leg, but just like Sir Paul McCartney we know it's not just about the one leg. See you Saturday.
  7. If we are in the Play Offs being one of four clubs going for one promotion place it will be a disaster - and I wouldn't fancy our chances of getting out of jail by winning them. With the resources at our disposal, and the talent we have, we must make the top 2. And the time to start getting there starts tonight against Rochdale. The price of the tickets are a stinger for sure, but I would pay 60 quid for second place right now.
  8. Bloody brilliant night. Four nil against the lot from down the road, three of the best goals seen in the A League, picking up the League Championship and the first game back at the Suncorp since the floods. And a crowd well over 20,000 too. Been having a tough time since Christmas - all sorted now so should have time to get a meet up organised before the preliminary final second leg against the Mariners.
  9. Need to raise our game considerably if we are going to get anything at Rochdale. Got out of jail today, and just as well, otherwise Brighton would have been over the hill and out of sight. Nigels league title aspirations are hanging over the end of a cliff on a very thin thread.
  10. Come on Saints. Don't even think of not winning this one, especially with Brighton looking nailed on for 3 more points.
  11. Top stuff - well done Mrs DP!!
  12. Compare all the odds from each bookie here: http://www.oddschecker.com Do a Google search for free bets - most of them do free bets on sign up every now and again. And go easy - only stake money you can afford to lose. Keep a record too - makes it more fun and you can keep track of where you are. If you get back 80% of what you stake over 12 months you'll be doing well!!
  13. He wouldn't get in the current Brisbane Roar side.
  14. Surely Plymouth Argyle represent a far better proposition? At least they have a decent ground and the potential to draw a big crowd in the Prem, unlike the DFCSB's.
  15. I haven't seen the accounts but I would guess that transfer fee revenues and all other receipts have covered wages and expenses. Which leaves nothing for the creditors through the CVA. Trouble is the wage bill is ongoing but most of the assets have now been sold so the cashflow forecasts will be looking very scary indeed.
  16. I used to think Multiculturalism was dommed to failure but the last 30 years has seen great stides in integration and acceptance of some cultures - West Indians and Sikhs for example. That was close to working and personally (white male) I feel a lot less threatened walking through some areas which have that ethnicity than I used to. Some areas will always be bad, largely the result of poverty though - and that would include white areas too. The key word is 'threatened' and the failure of multiculturalism in the UK can largely be laid firmly at the door of Islamist Extremism which is an actual rather than perceived threat and fuels the right wing organisations. Whilst most Muslims are harmless and seek to contribute, they follow a doctrine which subscribes to an agenda of violent intolerance. So peace has no chance, and multiculturism fails as a result.
  17. A legend in his own mind. ****ing waste of space for us. And a bad influence on most around him. You're welcome.
  18. Would have taken a point before the game, and although I enjoyed watching the game on TV out here in Oz I felt flat at the end. Surrendering a two goal lead with late goals in each half doesn't do a lot for feelings of goodwill towards the team, or confidence. Seabourne looked like a pub footballer up against Mackail Smith. No idea of where to put his body or whether to stick or twist. Next game can't come quick enough. Boy do we need a win - losing touch gradually.
  19. I'm putting Seabourne on the block. Totally owned by Mackail-Smith and would get murdered in the Championship. Lovely give away straight from the second half kick off too. Out of his depth today. Totally to blame for our defeat. That last bit might be a bit harsh. But we're scapegoating.
  20. 9/10. Keeping Oxo was massive, and Lallana was huge too. We have added pace and firepower and got rid of an underperforming troublemaker. And kept plenty in the bank for spending when we get up to the Championship. And Pompey signed no one. Nearly perfect.
  21. If Plymouth go to the wall before Pompey it is just wrong, wrong, wrong. Pompey blew off over 100m of debt ffs.
  22. On Foxtel too, if you have it.
  23. Great result and very badly needed. Great to come from behind like that and Lambo must take a lot of confidence from a brace. Huge huge comeback in the scheme of things. Haven't been so pleased about a goal for a very long time. :)
  24. Yeah - they show it on Fox on the Sunday. Benali shouldn't have spilled the beans, but you could tell he was a little coy about releasing it into the public domain. He shouldn't have done it, but I for one am not going to hang him out to dry for an error of judgement made in the heat of the moment. Needs to be resolved in private. I have huge respect for FB, MLT and Cortese. The fact they have issues is irrelevant to me.
  25. Trusting in Nigel - he's doing fine so far. Top 2 is vital, winning the Division would be a bonus. Nigel wants to win it, we're all set. Lets go.
