Surprised it's taken them so long to do that - I know it's a trivial matter in the grand scheme of things, but the original name was just a sequential "placeholder" name used by the law firm ML appointed to oversee the takeover. It had absolutely no relevance to anything, really.

Everything he said in that BBC article a while ago suggests he knows he's got to keep his distance (except if/when MP asks for his input), so that would suggest he's got a pretty good grasp on what's going on.

Fulham are being charged £37 for their game up there, two weeks before ours and a Saturday 3pm kick-off.

Statistically the safest mode of transport

Fair enough Regarding the bolded bit, I'm sure there was an Air Crash Investigation or Seconds From Disaster documentary covering that one on Nat Geo. Waited for the co-pilot to go for a **** and then locked the cockpit door. Bugger all anyone can do about a situation like that.

This doesn't appear to be a particularly uncommon occurrence in that part of the world, and could simply relate to illegal migration rather than anything terror-related. According to the BBC, when an Air India plane flying from Dubai crashed, killing 158 people, 10 of the passengers were travelling on fraudulent passports.

A terrifying thought. Anything in particular that points you towards terrorism rather than pilot or aircraft failure?

Saganowski wasn't in the Poland squad in Germany 2006. Grzegorz Rasiak, however, was. He had been on loan with us for three months at the end of the 05/06 season, with the deal made permanent in May, before the tournament began. He played only 5 minutes in the tournament, at the end of their final group game against Costa Rica, with both sides already eliminated. Kenwyne Jones came on as a sub against Paraguay in Trinidad & Tobago's final group game against Paraguay in the same tournament, which kicked off five hours after the Poland v Costa Rica game, so Jones is the most recent Saints player in a World Cup.

Must say it's rather strange that a website that has absolutely no association with either of the UK broadcasters would be in a position to publish a particular kick-off time before said broadcasters.

The Chesterfield game is Monday night on Sky.

I think you've added an extra 0 there

So non-season ticket sales of around, er, 61 then. That'll help the cashflow.

@ASFCofficial: Foul given against Odejayi for standing still.

Excellent Same price to either Thornton Heath or Selhurst, by the way.

Southend equalise, but Bury and Wycombe are both winning, which has pushed Pompey down to 3rd from bottom in the "live" league table

Quickest is to change at Clapham Junction. Cheapest is usually to take the Southern route via Gatwick Airport but there's engineering works at Arundel that weekend so it'll be bus replacements etc

The News made a big deal out of Morecambe only selling a handful of tickets in advance before they went down there earlier in the season, but the fact is that most games at that level don't get near selling out so why bother buying in advance?

You do realise that only the town and country on that poll are required, the rest is optional? Just pick a random town and put UK as the country and you're in...

Not entirely down to Lovren and Wanyama, it's been a team effort, but they certainly had an effect. The problem with the high pressing game that we've been employing where possible this season is that it's physically demanding (even more so than most other teams) - as a result, I think we've seen a natural drop-off in the intensity of that gameplan as the season has progressed, and "lesser" teams have started employing more defensive methods against us to combat the fact that we like to have people running in behind the opposition - if they sit deep with 9 or 10 behind the ball, we don't move the ball or players quickly enough at the moment to be able to break them down. I think a lot of that is due to fatigue, and we still have a relatively small first-team squad so we find it difficult to rotate. For example, Jay Rodriguez has played in every single game this season, and he in particular has looked jaded in the last few games, but we don't have another player who offers the same type of attributes as he does, and he's important to the way we play, so he's played every game as a result. Osvaldo was brought in as a succession plan for Lambert, but that obviously hasn't worked out, so Lambert's had to play more games than we probably would have anticipated in the summer. We haven't got worse at defending as the season has progressed, but we've not been so relentless on our opponents (because we've been physically unable to do so) as the season has progressed which means our defence has come under more pressure in recent months. It obviously doesn't help when the opposition seem to have a remarkably high shot-on-target conversion rate (I don't have stats to back that up, by the way, just a gut feeling based on yesterday and the Stoke game).

We dropped a horrendous number of points from winning positions last season, 6 points in our first three games (against the two Manchester clubs) and 29 in total In terms of an arbitrary "points dropped from a winning position per games played" score, last season we dropped 0.76 points per game from winning positions, compared to this season where we've dropped 0.55 points per game. Interesting figures: we led at some stage during 21 of our 38 games last season (55%), a surprisingly high number considering we were in the bottom 6 for most of the season, while we've led at some stage in 16 of our 27 games this season (59%). A surprisingly small improvement there considering how our overall performances and results have improved, although I guess our durability and ability to actually hold onto the leads we get is the main reason.
