  1. Currently done 64, will have done at least another 9 by the end of the season, possibly more depending on cup draws.
  2. Also an international week...
  3. I paid £55 for my ticket for the Rose Bowl game, plus probably another £60 on food and drink. Fuck doing that again if we're not even going to attempt to learn from the basic mistakes we continue to make every single game.
  4. Now 2 wickets! 40/2 off 9.2 overs, Anderson's got Watson and Ponting cheaply. Extras have had a good summer, 11 in this game already...
  5. The more blocks software houses attempt to put in the way of piracy only serves to **** off its genuine customer base who get frustrated at having to jump through hoops just to be able to play a game they've paid for, and also increases the determination of the pirate community to develop sophisticated ways around them. How many other games FORCE the user - who has paid for the product, remember - to register personal details in order to play it?
  6. Shouldn't have to register it at all, really.
  7. As long as we can avoid the follow-on, that'll give us at least 2 batting bonus points and should ensure a draw. I'd take that at this stage...
  8. More to the point, who'd have thought that we'd fail to win any of our first 7 games with a -10 deduction and still have a decent chance of beating you to 1 point
  9. Yeah pretty much. I've got it on my work PC solely for testing purposes, along with IE7, IE8, FF2, FF3, FF3.5, Chrome and Safari
  10. Wouldn't surprise me - IIRC it's the browser that was shipped with XP, and most people just won't bother upgrading.
  11. Firefox is my browser of choice, but as Baj said above, it absolutely canes the memory after a while, particularly if you run a number of add-ons. Oh, and IE6 is evil and should be destroyed.
  12. To be fair, it was pretty secure... it locked anyone out of the game if they couldn't tell whether the serial number printed on the back of the manual had 1s or Is and 0s or Os I hope they've done away with the forced registration and the limit to the number of times you can install it.
  13. Would love to, but I think they'll struggle to find enough people with that sort of cash available to them to get a full take-up of the scheme.
  14. According to a Pompey fan on another forum I use who appears to have contacts in the right places, Peter Storrie attended a supporters group meeting a few days ago and told them that during the Man City game, al-Fahim asked him - completely straight-faced without any sense of taking the p!ss - if they could stop the match so he could get up and wave to the fans. Needless to say, Storrie has arranged for this particular gem to be edited out of the minutes of the meeting
  15. Kabir Ali has agreed a three-year deal according to the BBC - compensation to Worcestershire is likely to be around the £60k mark. This could pave the way for more transfer fees in cricket, with players tied to longer contracts, which I'd say isn't necessarily a bad thing as it gives both player and club more security.
  16. Of course, if we can get a reasonable score, you can probably guarantee the Aussies will do even better...
  17. Care to explain what it is?
  18. Well they know there'll be plenty of user-generated skins available within a week or two, so why bother spending money on it?
  19. He can't bear the thought that another product might actually be half-decent. It's about time FM had competition, they've been resting on their laurels for far too long, relying on the goodwill of their dedicated fanbase to do their testing for them, releasing a product that simply doesn't work on launch day. I love the irony of having a go at Eidos for CM requiring a patch to get data up-to-date - at least the game's playable on launch, unlike certain titles. I couldn't even do a command-click (Mac equivalent of a right-click, if you weren't aware) in FM09 without it crashing!
  20. Don't forget Adams as a spin option as well
  21. Indeed, although being in the office it was never likely to be anything NWS
  22. I'm selling my flat (or at least I will be when I've finished decorating) You'll get plenty of change from £250k
  23. Nor did I dispute it - although I'm pretty sure there was at least one of the FM series that wasn't available cheap until about a month after release, but that's splitting hairs really
  24. No, because I know I won't get anything remotely balanced from you when it comes to FM.
