Still... Harmison's Test batting average at the Oval is a paltry 119
-
Anyone would think you were happy with that...

I'm normally one to not make rash conclusions from a bad performance but Jesus ****ing Christ, that was terrible. No urgency, no ability, no communcation. Traits that were, unfortunately, replicated in the dugout as well as on the pitch. That game was crying out for an attacking substitution with 25-30 minutes to go to give us a bit of impetus, but we had to wait until 8 minutes from time before any changes were made. The only positive is that Pardew took off the three worst performers. Lancashire is clearly not up to it - he's proven it on a number of occasions now. Get someone else in asap. Wotton is clearly not up to it - he's also proven it on a number of occasions now. Get Hammond in asap, and possibly one other if AP's determined to ignore Simon Gillett. Paterson isn't a right winger. While he had a shocker anyway, it's probably a bit harsh to single him out as he was being asked to do a job he's simply not up to doing. We had Jake Thomson on the bench - while he's far from the complete article, he at least plays wide on the right on a regular basis. If Perry wasn't fit enough to play, why was he on the bench?

Doubt that one is on Sky. Southend often move home games to a Friday night when they clash with international matches.

Pardrew sacked as Saints just escape relegation

What he said. Jeez... -
Getting back to the point, Norwich have nicked Paul Lambert from Colchester.
-
Norwich will be after Mark Robins, IMO.
-
He did OK there towards the end of last season. Considering the only other likely option is Paul Wotton, I'd much rather James slotted in there if Murty isn't available.
-
Just hope he won't be playing Division Two cricket...
-
Davis Murty - Perry - Thomas - Harding Thomson - Mellis - Wotton - Lallana Lambert - Paterson I'd personally have Schneiderlin in for Wotton, but I'm expecting Pardew to go for a bit of experience over technical ability there. He also made reference to having two big strikers leading to us playing too many long balls, so I'd expect him to change that around.

250, apparently.

American date format...

Oops. I've now added an extra bit of functionality - there's a new menu item, "View Fixtures and Prediction Spreads". In there, click on any of the fixtures and it'll show a chart with the number of times each scoreline has been predicted.

There were plenty standing in the first half an hour or so but I think people just couldn't be arsed after that as it was all pretty depressing.
-
I wonder how many managers have been sacked after a 4-0 away win against a team above them in the league table...
-
I'm struggling, even with my handy "see things through Daren's eyes" glasses, to see what is in the slightest bit "confrontational" there, to be honest.

Yeah, that could prove to be a useful link. Now, about that Jack Cork fella...
-
I must have missed where glorified testimonials were counted as official first-team attendances, even when none of the then-current squad were scheduled to play...
-
I think there's only one way this is going...

£8m?!

Do you mean displaying a chart showing the number of times each score has been predicted for each game? Should be able to do that, although probably won't get that done until after the weekend

West Ham v Millwall

Birmingham at home again. Meh.
-
Arsenal away - new ground, nice cash bonus. Whoever we get drawn against, we'll be the underdog, so it really makes very little difference.
