yea i know and agree fitz. but wouldn't you agree that the 2 are not mutually exclusive. we dont know that those in the press recently are actually the ones who have gone through 'due diligence' but if they are surely more information should be available to the fans and if they arent a statement saying that they arent surely isnt going to breach any NDA

Season tickets - What it the actual law stopping us selling these?
kelkel31 replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
i dont think it is anything to do with law, by selling tickets if the club was to fold we as 'season ticket holders' become creditors of the club, which means in any winding up order we would be part of the 'who gets what equation' this adds to the complexity's of the situation as well as the club not wanting to inflict any more unnecessary hardship on the supporters as we would be well down in the pecking order and would almost certainly not get a penny back. -
ive been expecting to hear something for the last 2 weeks, for a club so in danger of going out of business completely its seems to be taking a long time to finish. i was of the opinion that the original statement that we as a club were seriously in a precarious potion was just a means to get people active and that there is little chance of the club folding, the extra hype would increase media coverage but this is dragging on too much and as it seems that a lot of the supposedly interested partys have started to talk to the media the NDA that were supposed to be in place are irrelevant. if this is the case(and it would seem it is) MR FRY please start to open your mouth and let us know whats going on, i dont care about any other partys involvement, this is OUR club and WE want to know whats going on!!!!

i like that they say that the game is one of opinions as i thought that the rules of the game were set out in writing and that the referees were there to enforce those rules. IMHO the referee bent the rules in that game to the point where they almost broke and the challenge on wotton was so blatant he should have received a substantial ban from officiating matches and sent well down the leagues! (bypassing us on the way) Carlise should feel very lucky to be able to play any part of the playoffs as it was very clearly a deliberate attempt to injure a player!

we could buy weymouth as a start, which would give us blue square south football, then be able to change name and eventually relocated back to southampton!

yes its true he has applied in the past with no answer and apparently has said he also holds all relevant coaching badges. i think he has applied for the managers role in the past but would settle for a part in the coaching set up. i like what he says in respect to a style of play for the saints, however i would have to be concerned with his eyesight as i almost 100% disagree with what he says about referees decisions including todays by saying that robbie blakes challenge on JP not deserving a yellow, which if done against Man Utd in the premiership at old traford would have resulted in a certain red card, good call david!

For the first time in years I've got a big smile on my face.

now thats funny! a fit and proper persons test by a group that arent fit to run a church fete! -
i would assume it has something to do with logistics.unless there is a good chance of selling the extra tickets no plans would be in place for the extra stewards and police needed to open up the remaining corners.

this is bang on the money, the football league are relying on idle threats of increased sanctions and even being thrown out of the league( i believe one of there laws that they would not be able to enforce is that no member club can sue the football league). as i understand it in the case of leeds, they made threats and leeds backed down. http://msnsport.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11700_5228800,00.html read this on sky sports, i watched it live and is an accurate transcript of what he said, that they consider all football clubs to be there own legal entity in the own right. tell me if you asked they LSE if the football club was in administration and they will tell you NO! the football league dosnt have a leg to stand on, they are puffing out there chest and somebody need to grow a pair of balls and bring them down a peg or two, time for real change in the governing bodys of english football is now, lets get football people that know about football running our game, id be happy if saints are the ones who step up to the plate! IMHO!

Fundamental problem Some believe there is a fundamental problem within the game about the way football runs its finances. Asked about this, he replied: "Let us be quite clear here - I don't know what 'football runs its finances' actually means. "Each of our clubs is an independent legal entity - each club has a board of directors - and they are legally responsible for what happens at the club, how the club conducts its business. "That is not a matter for the Football League board, that is a matter for the individual clubs. "If the individual club gets itself into what proves to be, or what they believe to be, an unsustainable position then under the law of the land they can go into administration. "If that happens it triggers certain rules and regulations within the Football League - that's what happened today and those rules and regulations are there and are designed to try to offer some protection to the integrity of the competition so that when fans go to games or they watch them on Sky they know that the game is a fair and reasonable competition between two clubs." this is a quote from the FA muppets live on sky sports, the football club is not in administration, this is a matter of fact not conjecture, so by saying this he has already rubbished his decision to deduct 10 points, we have appealed and there is absolutely no reason to not have it overturned, the FA is not a body that has the ability to decide weather theres is a difference between the football club and the holding company, the fact is in the eyes of the law there IS!
-
they didnt bottle it at all, they are fully aware that we have not breached there clearly defined rules on administration, this causing significant embarrassment to themselves. they are desperate to punish us, hence the 'independent' investigation into our financial affairs, as if the reports by the clubs auditors arent independent, im sure they are allowed to make fraudulent statements in the company reports! they are looking for us to have failed to pay the cleaning lady for one extra hour of work that they failed to report correctly so that they can allege financial impropriety's, and if they cant find that they will try to change the rules and apply the retro-actively

very good in principle but i doubt that any cup matches could be included as i beleive the income is split differentely to normal league games( i think its something like 40% for each of the teams and 20% to the fa wether you are home or away) and i think it would be foolish to remove a large amount of potential income from the club by removing cup games income!
-
i think it is 50 -50, i think we can get enough points in that last games(dont expect any predictions as to where they will come, this league is absolute madness) but i couldnt be sure that we will get the help from other teams around us, it is going to be tight what ever!
-
i like the idea of three at the back, but it would be a big gamble for such a big game as its untested by us, liptack looks solid enough. i would drop at least lallana and maybe even surman, we need more width and with two holding midfielders who can play the ball(gillett and schniederlin) the width would work well, id prefer ryan smith to thompson, more likely to go past players(just hope he can make the final ball after that). maybe lallana for mcgoldrick as well, the free role is what hes best at, just tell him if he trys to shoot, someone else will shoot him!

i hate to have to agree with nick so wholeheartedly but i do. the problem was not that it changed the shape of the team, but that it was changed both in the wrong way and far to late. clough earned his money last night as there five man midfield totally dominated the first 75mins. they had 1 big lump up front who was well marshalled and we didnt have the quility to go 3 at the back and match them in midfield. this combined with the front 5 being very poor resulted in a draw being quite lucky in the end(not that either team deserved to win really) as surman missed a sitter, they changed to 4-4-2 and it was obvious that 1 goal wasnt going to be enough. as for wottes coment, my 2 cents is that it is to do with what he predicted the results to be when he took over, this being a draw would be a fair prediction, and id guess that the results so far would be on par with his points prediction, we can do nothing about the pathetic teams at the top who dont want to go in the premier league!

somebody slap this poster, real bad karma man:mad:

the agents work for the players, the players should be paying there agents. the only reason a club pays an agent is because the agent says they will not let a player do this or that unless they get there share, there is no place in football for this!

the saints trust is the right organization for saints fans to unite behind. on its conception i think people decided to wait and see what it becomes before getting involved, a fear that the same old people, with the same personal agendas will be taking charge. of course this is exactly what seems to have happened and this has turned off any sensible involvement from the larger fan base. from what i remember of the trust meetings with board members the questions asked was like a post match interview from radio hampshire, a scared school boy talking to his headmaster, pointless! yes you need to play politics but you also have to try and achieve something and get across real fans views!
-
well it shows how out of touch the trust is i think. when they have no real respect from the vast majority of the fan base to suggest that one of there members be elected to the board is laughable. to suggest that not only RL and MW remain on the board but to bring in crouch as well is quite simply naive. i for one believe if we have to remain in our current format (i.e a plc) that all three should be removed from the clubs boards and preferably not even have any involvement to the club by owning shares also! my personal idea for an interim board would consist of 1 member of the local council, 1 MP, 1 respected leader from the business community(who must also be a saints fan) and 3 ex saints players, with at least one who still has connections to the game and would be able to oversee the football side of the club. the current board have all at some stage failed of been involved in bringing about the downfall of our once great club and should never again have anything to do with SFC!
-
id hardly say that 1 win in 5 for a new manager(when in a very large number of cases a new manager coincides with a big upturn in form) could be considered as even ok form. i would also point out that the point being made would be his appointment was in no way a good piece of business or inspirational to any part of the fan base, and is therefore a further indictment of the current management of the club!
-
thats the media for you, they control the agenda and show events from the angle they want to due to there own political agenda, think for yourself and dont believe everything you hear and see. for me there were more than 500, a fair amount less than the first protest but im not sure if that means the attendace was a conservitive estimate of 1300 for the first one or not, but alot more than 500 and there was significantely broader age range than these pictures show!

i for one think this is bad for us. the talk on here has been if we lose to watford, and there is a good chance we would have to go into administration before the end of the season, that we should do it straight away as the deadline for taking the points this year is at the start of march. losing to watford would leave us very much expecting to be relegated and although the talk was only between us, the theory is sound and the delay to such a fixture in my mind is bad news for us!
-
my two cents the second march is the right move. i believe there was a great deal of apathy for the first one(lack of numbers and fears of it conduct). everything went perfectly, and we all achieved a lot of credit for the way it was managed and the atmosphere it created in the stadium was obvious for all to see.(even the itchen by the dugout got in the mood which doesnt happen often) the second march will be bigger and better, but should be the last time we use this method. further protest need to be a really big visual event. a sit in protest at the next home match(after preston) is a good idea, but wouldnt its support be diluted by what we hope would be a good result! maybe something along the lines of a previous post i.e flowers would be very good visually, but i would suggest we use black paper(im sure someone could post how to fold it into a flower) and at the end of the game as everyone leaves we throw the paper flowers onto the pitch, this would be both very poignant and a great visual sign of our discontent. as ive said before, we now have a method of organizing ourselves, visible signs that people are prepared to put themselves out and do things for the good of the club, things will only get bigger and in time will will get our point across, we have to persevere and we will prevail!
-
the answer is a simple no. this protest and others are about the fundamental structure and upper management of our club, the lies, the disrespect and contempt shown to us as supporters. without speaking for for all, we seek the removal of RL, MW and preferably the entire board from there positions and also as share holders, with the view of removing SFC as a PLC. this is of course the ultimate goal, not entirely realistic and with obvious priority's!

great post and matches my sentiments exactely. by all means start a thread on here and get some ideas going, but more than that get on facebook and join the group, they started it, and with the great publicity we should get from this the numbers will grow, and impact of any future events will be greater! p.s sorry mods if you dont like the mention to facebook, but its for a good cause!
