Not Saints related, but does anyone know how much Arsenal women have bid for Alessia Russo? Seen/heard various articles this morning that it is a world record bid, but no news outlet seems to be saying how much (though have said estimated £400,000 more than the previous record. For example, this article https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64460662 In comparison the same outlets happily saying about Chelsea £105m bid for Fernández. Genuinely intrigued what the difference is between the men and women's records, but not easy to find out (OK OK, I could probably Google it pretty easily...).

To be fair to the youngsters, getting the stopwatch app on your phone out is pretty odd behaviour too.

I work with an Everton ST holder and was speaking to him yesterday. From what he had heard fans were planning a sit in protest after the match (assuming they haven't all left after 18 minutes and 78 seconds...). Doesn't sound particularly organised...

I prefer the old days when we had the likes of France v Bristol and England v Reykjavik.

I've cut down pretty significantly in recent years. Partly due to having a young family so less time to drink (in an enjoyable way...) and an easy way to save money. Hangovers aren't really worth it as I get older too. Read yesterday about the impeccable behaviour of England fans at the World Cup. Coincidental test there are fewer bell ends about when alcohol isn't quite as free flowing. Almost makes we wish it was the same over here.
