  1. With the 2nd Feb still some way off I think we have plenty yet to come. It's all very sad unfortunately.
  2. Fair comment however could I ask if we have a recognised Right Back at the club yet?
  3. Not wishing to defend Alpine but out of interest do you see anything factually incorrect in his post?
  4. My initial thought as well Chez. We seem to be slipping into the strategy of quantity rather than quality right now. There was a stat in the Echo the other night about how many players JP has played so far and I seem to recall 28 being mentioned but that can't be right can it?
  5. Try reading the post above yours, it put's yours into perspective.
  6. You seem to continually forget elementary facts when making your posts eh? It's convenient to omit the freefall the club was in when NP arrived and how he had to start running from day one and arrest the alarming slide down the league with a team of zero confidence before he could turn things around. Whereas JP had a complete pre-season with 'his' team starting anew. Hardly the same is it but don't let that obscure your blinkered opinion.
  7. Whilst I'm sure it needs a few new players to push for the top spots the team as it is should not be floundering on the relegation zone. The coaching / management / motivation / tactics / whatever are clearly not working.
  8. Whilst this is clearly not a squad of Premiership world-beaters it is definitely better than current results are portraying. I remember when Hoddle came back, he hardly changed the personnel and turned us from a very poor team into a half decent team. It may just be that a change of manager is just what we need. In all fairness we can't really do any worse can we?
  9. I'm becoming increasingly concerned that Lowe's decision regarding Pearson may turn out to be his one single most significant feck up. It would appear all reasons thrown up as why not to appoint Pearson have been blown out of the water and even the one unknown of his remuneration expectations would have been small fry IF it would make the difference between CCC stability and relegation. Of course none of us really know what the outcome would have been / will be and much of it is supposition but given the option of NP or JP then it would appear to be a no-brainer. He was a dead-man walking when Lowe returned and the apparent reason? He was the choice of arch enemy Crouch. Petty or what.
  10. But as has been pointed out he was acquired during the tenure of JP and his team and given a 3 year contract by the one RL. Not a great endorsement of the new set up is it.
  11. Have to agree with you there. The longer he continues to metaphorically stick two fingers up to the fan base the more he will become a figure of hate which will over-shadow any positives that he does bring.
  12. Thanks for the summary Wes. Without wanting to be melodramatic it's incredible to see the real depths that this once proud club has declined to. It's amazing what one self-indulgement divisive character can do. How anyone can even contemplate defending his actions is beyond most reasonable people of that I'm sure.
  13. I'm not doubting his ineffectivesness at right midfield, it is clearly not his natural position as is demonstrated by him going narrow in-field. I also am in 100% agreement regarding DMG. My comments were more related to Lallana as a player overall. He is clearly one of even not the most talented players in our squad and will go on to play at a much higher standard. I'll be hearing next that Le Tissier should never have made it as he didn't tackle.
  14. Your pseudo-expert analysis make you sound like a pub team manager who has just played Fifa-Pro Manager 07 and demonstrate that you actually have little grasp for some elementary aspects of the game. Your view on Lallana is quite comical to say the least. I don't need to put you on ignore as it brightens my day to read such twaddle although after reading the very same comment for the tenth time does start to become a little tiresome, bless. It's a good topic for debate but does it need to be on every thread?
  15. Are you planning to post the same comments on every thread on the forum?
  16. It would be difficult to think of a worse case scenario than that
  17. As probably the one player who could give DMG a run for being the most consitently poorest player of the season he seems a strange choice to be quoting in this time of need. Clearly many things are wrong but I don't believe either James or DMG can possibly be as poor as their performances suggest they are. I don't know if it's a lack of confidence, or the step up has just been to great for them to bridge, or they're playing out of position, or lacking in coaching I don't know but it's all adding up to this sorry state of affairs.
  18. We could prepare for life in League 1 as I fear that would be the consequence of losing the three highlighted players.
  19. And what is the basis for that little outburst. Dear oh dear. The point is that this topic has / is being debated extensively on other threads and as has been suggested this is duplicating those. If you think Lallana going is good news then you really don't understand football.
  20. Agreed. Derry seems to be somewhat obsessed with the wide right position.
  21. Move James up from right back to RM and switching Perry across to RB.
  22. Have you been let out just in time for Christmas
  23. I hate to put the mockers on a good topic for debate but the reality is unless you are on the Board at SFC, or part of the Barclays team that 'manages' SFC and you have access to all the financial ins and outs of every other CCC team then no one can actually know. I have a wry smile when I hear comments like 'if Saga comes back in Jan we will HAVE to sell Surman (Lallana etc)'. It's stated like it's fact when of course it's purely supposition. It's clear we are not in a strong financial position but the depth of it (even with audited accounts) and comparison to other CCC teams can only be subjective.
  24. Is she available?
  25. What a complete load of doo-da but don't let facts get in the way of your thought process. Even Sundance Beast has conceded that there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest Pearson couldn't / wouldn't work with the youngsters. Plenty of quotes have previously been supplied et al from Pearson to support his positive view on working with the younger guys as has his previous experience with many levels of the England set-up including a spell as caretaker manager of the U21's.
