  1. WC sometimes I agree with you, somethimes I don't but to make those comments about Lallana I'm afraid you are so very wrong. I've seem a number of games this season whilst in the company of ex and current pro's and to a man they all highlighted AL as the stand out player. He will go on to play at a much higher standard there is no doubt. SFC have done their utmost so shoe-horn McGoldrick into the team at any opportunity so we ought to damn well try and do the same with Lallana in a position and formation that gets the best out of him.
  2. Fair comments Chez. It's clear that you can't make it through the grades and get into a CCC team without having a decent level of talent. The question this raises is why he seems to be struggling so badly (IMO) this year. Is it the formation, team-mates, tactics, confidence, coaching or whatever but I'm sure he must be a better player (his scoring record at Youth is enviable) than he is portraying on the pitch right now. He's been given a very good run so far, let's hope he turns the corner sooner as later may not be an option.
  3. Very good, I did chuckle at that one. To be fair though after his disastrous debut he turned in some pretty good performances.
  4. ...Asked about his own future, Saganowski incredibly replied: "I will be back playing at Southampton on January 1, so I can probably play in the FA Cup tie against United. I hope I can play." Interesting.
  5. I'm not sure if an anger management course is required but the following is the part that escapes me. Can you elaborate?
  6. However he joined a team in disarray and freefall at the tail end of the season whose slide needed halting and turning before any progress could be made as opposed to having a complete pre-season and a team entirely made up of players of his choosing.
  7. It makes you wonder doesn't it. I can only imagine it will be one of the 'struggling' clubs but you never know in this game. It won't come as any surprise if he does depart and also as it now appears he's looking for a move it will fit nicely with RL who will be able to say 'we didn't want to sell him but he wanted to go'.
  8. Some well thought out points SB. What I'm not sure I understand is the basis for the view that Pearson would not cope dealing with youngsters bearing in mind he has worked with England at many levels including the U21's where he was also caretaker manager for a while. It seems to be a convenient argument from the pro-Lowe / anti-Pearson camp that appears to lack any substance. Or is there evidence to suggest otherwise that I'm missing?

  10. Based on what exactly?
  11. ...and as importantly push us up the league. Unfortunately that logic is not acceptable to some I'm afraid.
  12. I've not had the pleasure of seeing James play in his preferred position but listening to the likes of Navy Red then it's clear he has some talent and of course he wouldn't have made it this far it he hadn't. However! at right back he is very poor, week in week out. I think Cork is wasted at RB but we must have some other options and surely Jan can see the weakness - other managers certainly can.
  13. You're definitely a glass half-full type which is commendable. I thought we'd be where we are and that is hovering around the drop zone. I initially thought that survival this year in the CCC would be key to the clubs future however the with the dwindling crowds I wonder even if that will be enough. It might just be that administration is inevitable which would be a catastrophic outcome.
  14. Your post lost any credibility as soon as you put speech marks around the word 'star'. From that moment on it was clear your post would be a dig and more than obvious what your stance would be.
  15. What a painfully stupid and moronic post. Another uber fan creating more division amongst supporters. Surely, for the good of The Club filling the ground should be considered a god-send and not the excuse to post drivel like this. If it takes this type of fixture to reinvigorate some peoples enthusiasm then that's a postitive. You really do yourself no favours at all.
  16. That's fair comment although I would have thought it was obvious but here goes: How do you expect the board to magic up an experienced striker? ....how about one of the VERY proven goalscorers we have currently out on loan?! (Yes, wages blah blah blah but if they make a difference then the extra 'cost' is a simple no-brainer. We will probably get lumbered with the most useless of those we have out on loan. That looks like Saga by a mile, so he could well get his chance unless he drags us into administration, but there is nothing recently to indicate it is going to be any better. ...how the hell can Saga single handedly 'drag us into administration'?! Is a little clearer now why I thought it was 'twaddle'?
  17. No I'm sure you didn't but then due to your stated stance it's hardly a surprise. Try reading it again and digest it's content without any pre-judgement and you may just see it for what it is....utter twaddle.
  18. Did you actually read through what you'd written before pushing the 'submit reply' button. What a load of twaddle.
  19. You not able to make the game either WC? I'm stuck in a hotel in Denmark and relying on the web. COYR!
  20. Spot on Mr Smith. And for the missing supporters what was the quote from Field of Dreams....'build it and they will come...'
  21. Well there's a startling surprise! In all fairness SB has recently started to post in a more sensible manner with some good points of valid debate however the fact he can't help digging (perm any combination of Crouch, McMenemy or Pearson) makes his posts tiresome. Many 'anti' Lowe fans are just that due to the divisive element he brings to the club and having his supporters come on here even after a great win and attempt some petty point scoring against other fans hardly seems to help....
  22. Well that's a rhetorical question John but when the team as a total have only scored 16 goals in the CCC, two of which were pens and one was an own goal then you can hardly expect a mid-fielder to be scoring more than the main striker which Window Cleaner seems to be suggesting is the benchmark. Unfortunately for the reasons stated by several posters on this thread your assesment would appear to be clouded by other aspects.
  23. He'd have more goals in the CCC than our main striker then? Is that what you're saying?
  24. Yes, unfortunately I have to agree. You will notice that the main pro-sell Lallana posters here are Lowe supporters getting ready to justify Lallana leaving when he inevitably does. Reasoned argument and debate of his ability gets particularly biased in this situation.
  25. In my time it would be any one from Peach, Statham, Dennis or Bridge. All for different reasons.
