There’s systemic issues right across the club which is the problem. One or two issues you can fix but when the manager is no longer the messiah, the players are sh1te, the coaching staff are sh1te, there is no DOF, the youngsters aren’t coming through, the coaches at the junior teams are not up to it, the last DOF bought a cupboard full of cr@p and the owner has no money then, well, you are truly and utterly ****ed.

We haven’t got the personnel for a high press. Certainly not against a team like City. It would be suicide to try that especially away from home. If the club support him, which they’ve so far pretty much failed to do, then maybe we can adopt this strategy in the future with capable players.

Great post. As for the last paragraph, I think you’re spot on. He did several interviews where he certainly gave the impression he thought movement in the transfer market was going to happen only for it not to be the case.

He is indeed a plodder but pretty good (generally) at his defensive role of breaking up play. Unfortunately you need to have a mix and balance in the midfield with quick and creative players but we have 3 plodders. Not Ralph’s fault that he inherited the ‘best midfield in the league’ from that incompetent ***t Reed.

Danso is just clutching at straws. He's played one full game for us and that was at FB so I'm not sure what anyone is basing his selection on other than the hope he can't be worse than the players we've got.....Ralph doesn't seem to agree though. I thought Danso was a Ralph-influenced acquisition but maybe not.

This is nothing new. Which I guess is the shame of it all.
