  1. Lets focus on staying up this season. Top 10 possible next season, then go from there.
  2. Yeah I found that a bit weird too.
  3. Re-sign Boruc Right back as cover for Clyne. Left back as cover for Shaw. If Wigan go down then I'd be after Figueroa. Winger with genuine pace, somebody who can beat a man. Ince would be my pick. Could be a challenge to bring in squad players better than we already have in the full back areas though. No player of any real quality is going to want to come and sit on the bench behind a 17 year old. Fox seems happy enough to play that role, and whilst he is far from the best he is adequate back up.
  4. Found this tucked away in the tickets section. Wouldn't have known about them had I not checked there as the article hasn't appeared on the main page as far as I'm aware. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/tickets-swansea-city-vs-saints-731977.aspx
  5. Wigan will stay up on 37. Sunderland down on 36. IMO.
  6. No reason why we could not repeat what Swansea and West Brom have done this season. Current squad with a years PL experience under their belts + further investment in the summer = exciting future ahead. Still, need to focus on the task at hand of staying up this season.
  7. Went to The Bugle on Friar Street last season. Decent little boozer, only a few minutes walk from the station.
  8. Hate is a strong word. I dislike plenty of teams, but they are the only team I could genuinely claim to hate. Nobody comes close.
  9. Not seen this posted, Luke Shaw responding to a tweet yesterday. It's good news... @Luke_shaw3: “@BowieAFC: @Luke_shaw3 what are your chances of being fit for next week?” 100%
  10. 2003/04 season is the only one to date where we've not had a sub 30K attendance at SMS for any league game. Be good if we can get back to that. Top half PL side required first though.
  11. Tonight's match was a complete waste of time for all involved. Set up a pre-qualifying tournament for the likes of San Marino, Andorra, Moldova, Malta, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and the likes. Top 1 qualifies for main qualifying tournament, the rest go home. That way you'd get less pointless fixtures like tonight, and these smaller nations will actually gain something more by playing in competitive football matches where they actually stand a chance of getting a result, with the prize being earning the chance to compete against Spain, Italy, Germany, England....etc, rather than just getting walloped every time they play.
  12. Saints are category B. http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/spurs/Tickets/ticket-prices.page? South Lower - £37, South Upper - £41
  13. Their last 3 away games in PL: Reading - D 2–2 Newcastle - L 3-2 Man City - L 2-0 And defeat at Steaua Bucharest in that time too. Also been beaten at West Ham and West Brom and been held at QPR & Swansea this season. We're definitely capable of getting something against them, of that I am sure. My biggest concern is the international break. Our record is terrible after any kind of break in fixtures this season, lost every game I think, and they have all followed wins. That said, I think our high pressing tactics and pressurising the opposition into mistakes should work well against Chelsea, another team that like to get the ball down and pass it which suits us. It's only when we come up against long ball merchants that we come un stuck. Chelsea will have a lot of players on international duty the week before hand, more than us I assure although the majority of our star performers haven't had a call up anyway. And with 4 games in 8 days Benitez will have to rotate too. Ofcourse they have a lot of very good players who on their day could cause us a lot of damage, but so did Liverpool, and so did City. Had a gut feeling we'd beat Liverpool when I woke up Saturday morning, despite predicting a defeat all week. Got that same feeling we will beat Chelsea. 3-2 Saints, same score line we beat them by in the last season at the Dell.
  14. This is true too. I'm not too fussed what day it is. Hope they get through to the SF, will give us a better chance of getting something against them if they have to play a few day before hand.
  15. Just to warn you, this game will be moved to Sunday if Spurs progress to the Semi Finals of the Europa League. 2nd leg due to be played the Thursday before they play us.
  16. Picked up a 48" Technika from Tesco Home Plus about this time last year for £300 when I moved into my first place. So it's not a big brand name, but the picture is superb and at 300 notes for that size it was a no brainer.
  17. The club has a clear philosophy to build a young team of predominantly English players that is capable of competing in the top half of the Premier League. We bought the likes of Clyne, Rodriguez and Ramirez in the summer for a reason, and have extended Schneiderlin and Lallana's contracts on long term basis for the same reason. We will not be selling Shaw any time soon, unless someone comes along and offers silly money, in excess of £20m. Cortese will be well aware that he will be worth more than that by the time he reaches his 20's too.
  18. QPR, Reading and Sunderland for me. I fail to see where the latter are going to pick up many points from. I think they could lose 6 of their remaining 8 games. A lot is going to hinge on their home games against us and Stoke. I am certainly not fearful of going there after witnessing the dross they served up against 10 men on Sunday.
  19. As above, Sunderland have very good reason to be concerned. Of their last 8 games, 5 of them are against United, Chelsea, Newcastle, Everton and Spurs. And they also have Villa away which will be a huge game. People keep telling me they have enough, but I am yet to be convinced. They were utterly dire today, against 10 men for over an hour. The teams around them are picking up wins, whilst they are yet to win in 7.
  20. Caught a glimpse of him when Walsall played the skates on TV earlier in the season. Looked a handy player, but whether he is up to PL standard is an entirely different matter.
  21. Great photos guys.
  22. Sorensen. Not Anderson.
  23. Anderson hasn't played tonight. I'd take a few of Bologna's players in a heart beat. Diamanti is an excellent footballer.
