  1. Sunderland - W Fulham - D Stoke - L Arsenal - D Villa - W That would take us up to 23 points. Probably only another 15 points required from there to secure survival, I reckon it is going to be a low total to stay up this season, around 35-37 points. 40 will definitely be more than enough.
  2. Yep that would do for me. Friended would provide a good short term solution until the summer when we can go out and sign a top GK for the longer term.
  3. Exactly as I feel about them! Tinpot.
  4. Am I the only one that saw Fonte turn to the Kingsland and shrug his shoulders and say "wtf are you booing him for" as Guly came on. He then turned for a second time once Guly was on the pitch and tried to gee up the crowd up. What I'd really like to know is, were the people that booed Guly today and have done all season at Bristol Rovers in League 1 when he scored a goal out of nothing to win us the game? Were these people at the majority of our games last season, in which Guly scored 11 goals and assisted a few others, massively contributing to our promotion to the premier league? What he did at Fratton was pretty unforgivable, but how many of the people booing him today even set foot inside SMS last season let alone went to Fratton? Whenever Guly has been called upon this season he's been decent, today I thought he was very good. Held the ball up we'll, went on some good runs and nearly scored a screamer. Shame he didn't score, I'd have gone mental for one if he had.
  5. Please name a goal we have conceded this season that came direct from a KD error? Again this is not to say that he couldn't have done a lot better with some goals he has conceded this season because he could, but how many were individually down to I'm?
  6. I'm amazed at the amount of people sticking up for Gazzaniga here. If it was KD who had made the same mistakes Gazzaniga has then this forum would be in meltdown. This man is costing us points due to his individual errors. How many goals conceded earlier in the season were directly down to individual errors from Kelv? I am struggling to think of any. Many he could have done better with, but none that directly resulted in us losing points. KD back in for Liverpool please and until January, and then sign a PL quality keeper.
  7. Same here. Reading were total dross, and Villa not much better. Sounds like it was the same at the Stadium of Light too. With a fully fit squad and the attacking flair that we posses I would like to think that we are better than all 4, we've already proved it against 2 of them. Don't want to get too carried away though, I expect tomorrow's game to be very tough and we'll have to work had for the 3 points. Get them and I think we'll be 14th (expect Newcastle and Wigan to lose by 2+ tomorrow).
  8. On this showing i think it will be Villa and Reading to go + 1 IMO. Our attacking options are streets ahead of these 2.
  9. A settled and consistent side is one of the biggest factors, being able to play our best team 3 games running without change has been a massive plus. Cork's return has been instrumental and we look a lot more solid and less on edge defensively. Ramirez's return from injury also helps and if he carries on in the same vein as he did yesterday then we can look forward to picking up many more points.
  10. As has been said already, I think this will be a lot sterner test than Newcastle gave us yesterday. Norwich have been impressive in defence recently, but with our attacking threat I feel we can score against anybody. They will have Turner and probably Ruddy missing whilst we have a fully fit squad to choose from. Same team as Sunday, hopefully we can nick it, 2-1 Saints but wouldn't be surprised with a 1-1 or 2-2 draw.
  11. Cisse and Guitierez are rated 50/50 according to my toon supporting mate.
  12. Legend. Top scorer in each of the 3 seasons he's been with us, twice the division top scorer. Without his goals we would not be where we are now, that is a fact. He's also scored twice against the skates. My favorite Lambert goal was the equaliser against them in the cup at SMS. To this day I have not gone more mental at celebrating a goal.
  13. Thing is, unless you'd seen it on here or had asked the TO yourself you wouldn't even know block 43 was on sale. The club haven't announced it anywhere.
  14. 2-0. LOOOL! I have been reliably informed that the low attendance is because of the weather. Nothing to do with the fact the team has lost 6 on the bounce without scoring in 5.
  15. Attendance of 9,955! LMFAO.
  16. Been told by a toon supporting mate that loads of their lot have bought tickets in the home areas. Just seen that Block 43 is on sale to home supporters for the Norwich game too. Why don't the club announce such things?
  17. As above. Just checked online and Block 43 in the Northam is on sale to home supporters. A quick count also tells me there are about 1800 tickets left (800+ of these from block 43 which have only just gone on sale.)
  18. Sure. Same with any club chairman I'd imagine. But I consider it more likely than not that it was Pardew who went to Cortese and said I want Lambert rather than vice versa.
  19. Hope it's a good one. Helped rebuild our club from it's lowest point, won us our 1st piece of silverware since 76 and in signing Lambert (and yes I do think it was his signing, not Cortese's) got us somebody who has ultimately scored the goals which has had a major influence in returning this club to the Premier League.
  20. Didn't see this fight back coming tbh. Need to bat through until after lunch tomorrow to get a draw.
  21. It's either £39 direct from Southampton, or £32ish if you go via London. Rather pay the extra 7 quid to take out the hassle of going up to Waterloo and tubing it across London. Probably would have been slightly cheaper had I booked it a few weeks ago. Last season I think we paid for £35 direct to Coventry, but got them as soon as they went on sale.
  22. Train tickets have been available to buy on advance fare for a few weeks now, just got ours now. £39 direct from Southampton to Birmingham New Street. One of the away days I've been looking forward to most this season. Will be a big game too.
  23. Today we showed we can defend. But how many more individual errors are we going to keep coming up with? Costing us week in week out. Our shape is excellent, as highlighted by Gary Neville many times this season. You could have Mourinho on the touch line though and it still wouldn't solve the individual errors that are ultimately going to get us relegated. A shame too because we have the real makings of being a decent PL side.
  24. Wigan 1-0 up.
  25. The way things stand there are 3 points between us and safety, and 5 points to Wigan and 6 to Norwich. Can't see anything other than a defeat Monday so this weekend may be the one where we are starting to get cut adrift.
