rumors: #southampton unable to provide the bank guarantees of payment requested by #bolognafc for gaston ramirez deal. that's the matter
-
The meeting was at 8pm Italian time so it has already taken/taking place.

If we have serious aspirations of staying up and better then we have to be beating teams like Wigan at home. I'm sure they'll be saying the same about us of course. Maloney limped off injured on Sunday and Moses could be off to Chelsea this week which would severely reduce their attacking options, although the striker Kone they bought recently is a decent striker. Prediction - 3-1 Saints.
-
It will sell out, or close to it. Small away following doesn't help but I'm sure we'll fille 43 & 44. Even if there are tickets left on the day a good walk up will be enough to ensure the ground is full.

There was a 5 year plan to get to the PL, Adkins got us there in 3. Why would there have been "vibes" starting from the end of last season? He was also given a new long term contract 2 years ago. NC must be realistic enough to know that surviving and consolidating this season has to be the aim, and then we can push on from there. Hope NA gets the chance but I see no reason why he shouldn't get it.

Please see my latest post on the 'saga' thread for a beautiful example of our fishy friends!

Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce you to the one and only 'bestest'. 'Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakiin scummmmaaaaaaaaaaaaah!'

Guess we'll just have to wait and see. I can only say that for us to convince a player of Ramirez's calibre to sign for us that a lot of work (and admittedly money) must have already gone into this, so I don't see NC giving up on it so easily, otherwise he'd just have wasted a week of his time, and another week gone by without signing anybody.

http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/bologna/?action=read&idnet=emVyb2NpbnF1YW50dW5vLmNvbS02NjM2 This article says Saints are back tracking. The deal is not easy to complete.

Tancredi Palmeri is quite a reliable source and his tweets early make it seem it's virtually a done deal. The Bologna fans aren't happy at Ramirez being sold and IMO their president's comments are made trying turn the fans anger to Ramirez and take the limelight off the president for selling their prize asset. Hopefully it will go through tonight or over the weekend and we can all celebrate. Just praying it does not turn out the same as the Buttner deal. But the player has made it very clear and obvious that he wants to join us so I see no reason why it shouldn't happen.
-
And with Liverpool signing a winger tonight, I think it could be fair to say that he's ours if we want him and are willing to stump up the required cash.
-
I guess it's possible we could be looking at signing both of them? Still find it hard to believe that we will pull this one off, but if we do then it would be very exciting indeed and also may be the breakthrough that leads to further 'big' signings.

At long last! 3 more goals needed in the 2nd half for £95. Was starting to get a bit worried, but with that goal just before HT and the fact that the longer the game goes on the more Appy's nippers will tire - still a good chance!
-
15 minutes gone and no goal yet, wtf is going on?!

Bologna's president on Ramirez: President Albano Guaraldi insists Bologna will keep Premier League and Inter target Gaston Ramirez and sign Manolo Gabbiadini from Atalanta via Juventus. Uruguayan talent Ramirez has been of interest to the Nerazzurri and several English clubs. “There is nothing in the air for Ramirez. He is an indispensable player for Bologna,” said Guaraldi. “If there are common interests for an eventual departure, then we’d have to bring Stefano Pioli a replacement. “I want to keep him, but if he accepts a different destination in an operation that is acceptable in economic and technical terms, then we’ll see.” http://www.football-italia.net/23421/bologna-ramirez-and-gabbiadini

Just got the 18/1 on 4+ goals myself about an hour ago.

Just went on Skybet to whack 50 notes on Plymouth winning by 3 or more goals (5/1 when I checked yesterday), all bets been pulled apart from the match result. Check Betfred and I can't find the game at all! Shame, should have been quicker.

Yesterday was enough for me ta! Thanks all the same.

Is this just for Tuesday's game, or is 12.30pm tomorrow some sort of deadline for them to exit administration before the season starts to allow them to sign players?

http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/tickets/season-tickets.aspx According to this they'd sold 4,000. No date on that article but I believe it was released about mid/end of July. First season back in the Championship 9,200 were sold, and that reduced to about 8,000 last season. So I'd also be very surprised if they sold 8,000 being a division lower. What with being rooted to the foot of League 1 for at least the first 4 or 5 games (and that's being generous), I predict their average home ticket sales will no more than 9.5-10k next season.
