  1. My take on the atmosphere today: 12.30 up til kick off: Great Kick off up until they scored: Best all season After they'd scored: Dreadful The 2 minutes between us scoring and them again: Best all season
  2. If we can't beat a team in awful form and who have nothing to play for then we seriously are in big trouble. However, I think the 6k Saints fans there will spur the team on, and we'll win 2-0.
  3. Adam Blackmorets twitter feed came up with this last night: Adam Blackmore ‏ @bigadamsport Just finishing work on a #saintsfc club finance story which will air @ 0700 tomorrow, fans can also hear details in @solentsport bulletins Which was quickly followed by this from BBC Radio Solent's: BBC Solent Sport ‏ @solentsport My personal view is that #saintsfc fans should like what they hear in morning - I'll put interview up on twitter @solentsport as well So, anybody been listening to Solent in the past 10 minutes and heard what it is? Not got access to a radio atm, so whoever does hear it please post!
  4. This rumour began a couple of weeks ago on a Skate radio station, the presenter claimed to have "friends" on the inside at Saints who had informed him that on promotion the Liebherr's want to get their money back and would be looking to sell Saints.
  5. Oh well, we're still top and them and Reading play eachother on Saturday. Chill guys.
  6. I did have them listed on a spreadsheet, but I am unsure on where I have saved said spreadsheet! Once I have located it I will post them, but you'll have to wait til tomorrow now because this is my last post of the day
  7. No but you can find them on http://www.footballgroundguide.com
  8. Bored as I was yesterday, I worked out the combined train + match ticket price for all of the current Premier League away games. Average came to about £86. Add beer + food money and your looking at about £150-£200. The most expensive away match ticket is Chelsea (based on us being a category B game), at a staggering 50 notes for the upper tier, or 47 for the lower tier. Expensive stuff this Premiership malark, me and the lads have decided to set up an away day saving fund for the summer to use next season.
  9. Just done the predictor, I get this for the top 6. 1. Saints 95 +48GD 2. West Ham 86 +27 --------------------- 3. Reading 84 +24 4. Blackpool 77 +20 5. Brighton 76 +13 6. Birmingham 75 +24 --------------------- 7. Cardiff 75 +12 8. Hull 74 +10 9. Leeds 70 +5 And the bottom, just for good measure. 21. Coventry 45 -16 --------------------- 22. Bristol City 43 -32 23. Doncaster 39 -35 24. Portsmouth 37 -11.
  10. Simples, draw please so they both drop points. I want to go up as Champions, would be quite dissapointed if we finished 2nd now (obviously still delighted about actually getting promoted). A draw also means the pressure would be totally off for us at Blackpool in the evening.
  11. Think renewals for this season were £450 for the goals/wings, reckon you'll be looking at £550-£600 in the PL and £650-£700 new buy. Don't know about centre stands though. Would like to see any fan who has had a ST during the 7 year absence from the PL rewarded with some kind of discount, but know there is little chance of that happening.
  12. What a night. To go away to a team unbeaten in 12 with the best defensive record in the league, and win with relative ease (could and should have been 4-0 up in the first 20 minutes) is an excellent result. Coupled with the other two's results, amazing. And what's best is that I bet you Reading & West Ham fans looked at tonight's fixtures and were probably banking on us slipping up and them gaining ground. We had the toughest game of the night out of the 3, and came through it with flying colours. Said this morning if we won tonight then I'd really start believing, with that win and the other results I am now convinced we are going up as champions. Get in!
  13. Strange sub from Adkins there. Sounds like Guly has played well, whilst Puncheon has been poor.
  14. Who creates the chances for Rickie to put away? The rest of the team. Who keeps them out the other end? Etc... All good teams have a goalscorer, and we have an excellent one. Take Rooney's goals away from United and they would not have the points they do. Anybody who calls us a 1 man team knows very little about football imo.
  15. Talking to a skate I work with, he reckons that 2000 of them have now not purchased a coach ticket and will be travelling via their own means. Hope the Police fine them for not sticking to the 'bubble' rules.
  16. Anybody know how many we took to Leeds the other week? Not seen any official figure, but my Auntie who went reckoned it about 1200. 2,395 at Millwall yesterday.
  17. Most of them I have already visited, been to Rome about 10 times! If there are any Premiership games on at the same time then we'll have no chance, which given that Sky Italia show a lot of English football is likely.
  18. It was frankly embarassing that some of our support were singing this at the cup game at SMS earlier in the season, so anybody thinking about it tomorrow have a word with yourself and refrain from doing so please. Thank you kindly!
  19. This is really for the attention of suewhistle, but if anybody else can answer too then great! Basically, me and a couple of lads will be in Rome the weekend we play Blackpool live on the beeb. I believe some channels in Italy show Championship football (Sport Italia I think!), so what chance of finding somewhere to watch the game live and what channel would itbe likely to be on. Cheers
  20. One assumes they will still not be given their match tickets until they board the coach even if they have to book the coach travel separately?
  21. Sorry? We beat them at St Mary's in the league. In the 2 cup games our starting 11 was made up by 50% reserves/kids. Not saying it won't be a tough game on Saturday, but your statement is ridiculous IMO. This is the way I see the run in: Millwall (A) - I have the same feeling about this that I had before the Watford game, tough battle where we will have to grind out a result. Take the lead early on like we did at Watford however and we should win comfortably. Hull (A) - Very tough away fixture, Hull don't concede many goals at all but likewise they don't score many (prior to their draw with Ipswich, they'd gone 3 consecutive games at home drawing 0-0). We know we will create chances against anybody, so go there and defend like we have been recently and shut them out and you have a goo chance of winning. Doncaster (H) - This has all the hall marks of being a very nervy and frustrating game where a lot of patience will be required from players & fans a like. I see something similar to the Bristol Rovers game at SMS at the end of last season, Donny being happy to sit back and soak up the pressure and being hard to break down. Would take a 1-0 in this one here & now. Blackpool (A) - Despite their recent dip in form, this is our toughest away game left IMO. Very dangerous going forward, and a good home record. I'd take and predict a score draw for this one. Skates (H) - Derbies are usually scrappy, closely fought games but I do not expect this to be the case on April 7th. Yes we should not become overconfident and think all we have to do is turn up to win this game, but I really believe that if we turn it on like we have so many times before at home this season then the skates will simply not be able to live with us and we'll win at a canter. Palace (A) - Tough nut to crack at their place, like Hull - don't concede too many but likewise aren't that sharp in front of goal. Would probably take a draw if offered, but with nearly 6K away fans there I feel the sight of one whole side of the ground in red & white will spur our boys on to win this one. Reading (H) - THE game of the run in. Win this and you lan a major blow. Our record at home against the top sides this season is what fills me with optimism for this game. If are still top by then, a draw would not be a bad result. Peterborough (A) - Dangerous team going forward, but their defence is woeful and any team that concedes 3 at home to the skates should not provide us with too many problems. Middlesbrough (A) - Don't really understand why so many on here are so worried about this game. Boro's home record is not good (too many draws & not enough goals scored), and having watched their game against Leeds on Sunday I really see nothing to be afraid of here. WHU & Reading have both been here and won comfortably this season, and I think we'll beat them too. Coventry (H) - Worst away record in the league, 0 wins. Nuff said.
  22. Really wish I was able to make this one, but it falls 2 days before pay day and I'm skint til then. So that is my reason for not going! From previous experience the Barrowboy & Banker is a good shout for a beer around London Bridge before the game.
  23. Cardiff 0-1 Hull.
