  1. For £6-£7m you could probably sign a striker from Europe with twice the ability of Hooper.
  2. There were some dressed in telly tubby outfits in the Kingsland. Tools, utter tools.
  3. Everton are terrible starters, so they'd be good to have in the first month or so. Swansea or Norwich at home first day.
  4. +1. Loved the flare at the end, wish we saw more of that in English stadia.
  5. Your not the only one I can assure you!
  6. I am beginning to feel physically sick with nerves, tomorrow can't come any quicker! I have just had a reassuring text from a mate however which definitely applies for me, and probably quite a few on here too. 'Your concern for the worst is clouding your judgement. Don't worry, we're win'. So I'm going to drink to that tonight and try and remain as calm as I can about tomorrow. COYR!!
  7. Teh maths are simple in my eyes. WIN.
  8. Saints 2-0 Coventry
  9. Or a very small piece of black segregation netting. There are 2 in the following picture, the smaller one to the left is only 4 seats wide whereas the larger one is about 10 seats. Either way it's good that they're cramming as many people as they possibly can in.
  10. Lol. What a tool. For a start, there is no comparison to be had. Chelsea had everything to play for last night, a place in the Champions League Final. Coventry have absolutely sweet FA to play for on Saturday.
  11. http://www.ccfc.co.uk/page/AwayTickets/0,,10269~2737314,00.html They had an initial allocation of 1,100 which were sold, and a total allocation of 1,850 of which they say there are a small number remaining.
  12. Just how crucial could these 2 goals turn out to be. I'd also add to that the moment West Ham hit the post at SMS late on, in swinging cross from Noble which came off Hammond's head to leave us all with our hearts in our mouths, only to see it bounce off the up right and away.
  13. No. Didn't even think they'd draw tbh.
  14. Wooooooo! Get in! Now do something Saints couldn't do on Saturday Leicester and keep hold of this lead til HT.
  15. Dyer has given Leicester another dimension down the left.
  16. Adkins said he was definitely out after the game yesterday.
  17. Fonte is not good enough for the Premier League, he has been a bit of a worry all season for me. Right back most definitely needs an upgrade. Jos the boss will be fine, and as has already been said I can't see us dumping Fox after spending nearly £2m on him. So a centre back and right back required, and then maybe go for a better left back the season after, providing we've stayed up.
  18. This will be such a rubbish way to go up. Part of me event wants West Ham to get a win so we can do it at St Marys on Saturday. But then it would also be nice for it to be over and done with once and for all. Argh why didn't we just do it properly yesterday FFS!
  19. Osborne is a good shout. It does get very busy on home match days though and can be a bit of a wait on drinks, don't know what it will be like tomorrow though.
  20. Think we'll win 2-0 tomorrow, that seems the regular score line for the majority of Boro's recent home defeats. Their home form is terrible, and we have been very good away from home recently. Gutted to not be going to this especially after being there at Plymouth last season. Oh well, guess those of us who aren't going will be able to get the party started back in Southampton! COYR!
  21. Claridge has had praise for us all season. If there is a pundit out there who we should be bashing it should be Robbie Savage. The other week he claimed we'd bottle it and Reading & West Ham would go up automatically, and before the Skates game he predicted we'd lose our next 3 games (well he has that wrong already). Don't know what his beef is with Saints, but the guy is a grade A c*ck.
  22. Brighton's home form since December can give us some cause for optimism ahead of tonight's game, here are a few stats that may be of interest: Unbeaten in 9 home games. Lost 1 in 13 home games. Won 9 of the last 13 home games. Their record against current top 6 teams at home: Saints - W3-0 Reading - Yet to play West Ham - L0-1 Birmingham - Yet to play Blackpool - D2-2 Cardiff - D2-2 Looking at their game at West Ham on Saturday, their away form does not look as good. Since winning their first 3 consecutive away games at the start of the season, they've won just 3 more times away from home in 18 games. Against the current top 2 they lost 3-0 both times. So a fair chance that they could nick something tonight, but don't see them getting anything at WH at the weekend. This is a strange and unpredictable league though, and WH seem to not to want to win at home so who knows. My predictions - Brighton 2-2 Reading & WH 1-0 Brighton.
  23. Barnsley - 1,138 Ipswich - 1,165 Leicester - 2,682 Burnley - 1,155 Derby - 2,611 Cardiff - 1,754 Reading - 4,203 Coventry - 3,008 Bristol City - 2,173 Doncaster - 1,792 Brighton - 2,422 Nottm Forest - 2,294 Birmingham - 1,555 Watford - 1,955 Leeds United - 887 Millwall - 2,395 Blackpool - 2,053 Crystal Palace - 5,820 Average of 2,281. This does not include the Skates, West Ham and Hull which I've been unable to find any official figures for. Skates & WH I'd probably guess at 3k which brings the average up to approx 2,353. Not sure about the Hull game, think I read rumours of about 600? Have to say our away following this season has been very impressive IMO. Only 1 (2 if you count Hull) attendances under 1000, and the majority 2000+.
  24. We've definitely had our fair share. Boro and Everton in the relegation season really were sickeners of the highest order, but yesterday beats them all hands down.
