I'm glad it wasn't just me, because it left me feeling a bit uncomfortable. I'm reading things like 'Jesse owens looking down at England tonight and smiling' & i'm thinking 'mmmm, not quite sure about that' You could see that Sterling was clearly aware he was coping stick in the second half, as they showed him glaring at the crowd at one point. I guess my stance is, I completely applaud what England did...but it felt like a bit of a fudge in the end It's a tricky one.

That was an interesting night, and I think hopefully a breakthrough moment that may slowly (probably very slowly) start persuading UEFA to stop sitting on their hands. One thing really struck me though. The England players could hear racist taunts in the first half and the game was stopped twice. The highlights after the game also clearly show that the players were aware of racism from the crowd in the second half, but it appears they didn't make anyone aware of it this time...we were four nil up at the time. Would the players have made the ref aware of it in the second half if we were two-nil down? The whole things left me a little bit confused to be honest. We seem to have set a bit of a benchmark now by not walking off. How bad does the racism have to get for us to now walk off? How do you quantify it? On the basis that the racism clearly continued throughout the second half...but we didn't walk, would now suggest we will never walk off? Whats the trigger point? Anyway a positive step forward..but i'm slightly conflicted.

I think the teams will stay as six regional teams. North, South, Wales, London etc. I think the want to avoid any football connotations. i.e. if there was a Portsmouth team, but no Southampton team, no Southampton fans would go to a team called Portsmouth...& theres not that many cricket fans to go round , unlike football, so they couldn't really have separate Southampton & Pompey teams. Plus where would Portsmouth play? I think it will enhance county cricket, by pumping money into it, and getting more kids involved. The Rose Bowl should be close to a sellout each match. You get about 10k there now and loads of those wouldn't know their Vince from their Sam Northeast. Chuck Jofra Archer , Stokes and Kohl into the mix and people will be well up for it. The cricket purists I speak to hate the idea.

So many empty seats when I watched it on MOTD. Was pretty surprised.

To be honest I think it's the amount of Bellends who post here, the little internal squabbles just put people off.

We're more than a batsman short. Middlesex just snuck in the top 4 and they've got Malan, Devilliers, Hafeez and Morgan in their top 5. I would say we're three batsmen short at least.

I think people saying , "Sounds like a normal sales call' are either missing the point or deliberately being a tit. (I suspect the latter) The OP didn't ask 'Does anyone think this is a normal sales call" he wondered if anyone else had had the call. and seemed to suggest it might be symbolic a perceived lack of enthusiasm for the club (Or at least that was my reading of it) It my also signal that Man UTD no longer have the mystique they once held as an iconic footballing superpower
