I was on holiday for our pre-season. Where do people see him playing; one of two, behind Pelle or out wide? He looks very small to me!

I think due to his lack of height; it was thought they might target him with long balls and crosses in his area.

Just don't bother getting a name printed on your shirt or giving a player their own song. We're just renting.

We have to keep him or our image as a 'soft touch' will be cemented. This will really demonstrate our ambitions as a club. He is one year into a contact ffs.

He sounds like a man fearing for his job to me. He's trying to get the Spurs fans on his side and reminding the media of his achievements to buy himself extra time. If he doesn't win a cup or get very close to the top 4 he'll be gone at the end of the season.

What I'm worried about is that our new cb will be more Gardos than Toby? He seemed to be our first choice last season; we need to get this one right.

We are looking poor at the back; hard to see how Ron's going to find 5 from this 10. Hopefully we have someone lined up....

I think we all agree that Spurs are a bigger club than us. What Spurs fans don't seem to understand is that they are a lot closer to us at the moment then Arsenal. Or maybe they do so come onto here to feel better about themselves. Please learn from them and think before ever going onto another clubs forum.

I would rather spend a couple of years in Damascus then Liverpool....

I would love to be able to support England 100%. However tournament after tournament of disappointment and now Roy picking teams like today makes it hard. Gibbs and Townsend ffs....

Exactly. People on here used to slate him for all sorts of reasons (including not scoring goals). Prowse will get better and better with time.

It's not about my ego its about a player throwing himself to the ground at every opportunity. As you say though it's early days and hopefully he would have been advised.

Yeah I hope so. He does need to stop diving though as it's embarrassing and refs will not give him anything.

I've heard he's out with a repetitive strain injury after throwing himself to the ground too often....
