I'm so glad I don't sit next to VectisSaint! Can't imagine how annoying it would be with him huffing and puffing and not warming to players....
-
Brilliant result! So pleased with things at the moment; the bleak days at the end of July seem a long way ago. Massive credit to Koeman! ?
-
Thanks Tony. That's good news; really looking forward to seeing him play. ?
-
Any idea when we will see Mane? Would make our bench look a lot better.
-
Why are none of the TV channels showing the Pompey game? I know it's champion league night but come on......
-
Reading the Liverpool forums at the weekend they are not impressed by him so far. Scapegoat number 1 for them; or is it Scousegoat?
-
I always get confused when Bearsy talks football. Not sure what his thoughts on Gaston are at all.
-
Didn't notice that. I thought he came towards us to say sorry to my mate who had 3 - 0 Pelle first goal scorer. He did look very happy today, and with his post-match interview maybe Koeman is winning him over? Let's hope so! Great day, great game, great score and the skates and Scousehampton lost as well!
-
We will get these two over the line? Leaving it very late.
-
He's been linked with a lot of big clubs - must be worth a gamble?

Can the Bed Wetting and Negativity please stop here!

It's been an extremely tough window but we move on. A great result today and with a couple of signings this week we can start looking up. -
I think he could do a job on the right wing (i.e. Beckham). He needs to show more more energy, but he could link up with Clyne and put in crosses to Pelle. Needs time playing in the same position.

Pelle is a Koeman signing. He has played with enough strikers to know what attributes are needed to be a success. Too early to write Pelle off surely?

Reading this forum you come across a lot of animosity between posters and their different views on Southampton. This makes me wonder if you’ve ever been in a pub before a game; or maybe even at a game itself and fallen out badly with another Saints fan? Sitting in The Chapel I don’t really see much agro between fans, and in pubs beforehand I always seem to get on with fellow Saints fans. I’m interested if this is just an internet problem or if people do get annoyed by other fans opinions in “real life”.

At least we don't have to worry about Sharp being sharp anymore.

At the end of last year Townsend was the saviour of English football after a good game for England. I'm not sure why there is so much negativity on here regarding him? He seems to have more obvious attributes than Long for example.

So, whats our Uruguayan Superstar's latest sob-story ?

No he won't. -

Townsend would offer more than Ward-Prowse does to the team. Just saying....loving the look of Tadic.

I really hope you're right but think this season will be a struggle. A couple of injuries up front or even worse, in defence and we could be in trouble. Please keep up the optimism though to balance out miserable sods like me!
-
That will sound great when we're 3 down!
-
Are we saying that the squad we have now (minus Morgan, Callum and Jay) is good enough to keep us up? I think it might be just about. Don't think we can rely on new signings however much we spend on them (see Danni and Gaston). Please reassure me!

I love reading all the positive replies but...we are in trouble. Replacing all these players and gelling a team ready for August will be tough. Signing players with no Premiership experience is a gamble. I'm not sure even 50% can be counted successful? We will do well to stay up.

Think I'm going to cancel Sky Sports. I don't really want to watch our ex-players running around in another kit; hoping that they fail. That's not healthy is it? Also agree that all the money they pump in makes the game very unhealthy on England. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
