  1. FFS it's Adkins, and do you know what a proper noun is??
  2. I can't fault this. Some on here seem to be blaming the boo boys for his want-away attitude but the boo boys didn't just start picking on him because they were bored/lagered up and wanted something to do. Trouble is Nick, it wasn't working ANY of the time at all, if it worked some of the time then yes it would have been tolerated more. And more often than not he was also getting in the way of other players shots. And can you remember blazing it over the bar for 1 yd out in an early season match? Trouble with his early season form was that he wasn't looking up for other players and he was continually running down blind alleys. Maybe playing him on the left is the answer who knows? Maybe he should be given a run of games on the left see how he fares. If it doesn't work, farm him out on loan again!!
  3. Dalek in post with no mention of Hoddle shocker!!
  4. FFS I think there's a difference between you (an internet pleb!!) getting pee'd off with the club and disgruntled people who seem to revel in spreading disenguous rumours about the club. Rumours that are designed to disrupt the business of the club! I think there's a difference in that when AP was here Barney was fit and firing on all cylinders NOW he's recovering from an injury and is blowing after about 60 mins after running himself into the ground.
  5. I think the clue's in her username
  6. Please can you tell me your lottery numbers so that I can choose one that are wildly different to yours!!
  7. Well I'm ****ed because earlier this year I predicted a 0-0 for the Colchester game but because I didn't save it I didn't get any points. Didn't realise that even if you wanted to predict 0-0 you still had to press the [save] button. Did the same for the Tranmere game, that would have got me a pt or two too..
  8. Joking right, Merrington bangs on about 4-4-2 EVERY week. If we're playing the system it's to big it up If we're not it's to say how good it is. If we played 4-3-2-1 and were 5-0 up he'd say that "If we'd played 4-4-2 we'd have scored 10 by now!!"
  9. Hmm, I love Jimmy Case and I love Dave Merrington, there's only one way to decide... FIIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHHTTTTTT!!!!!
  10. Umm Millwall are a Division abocve us and I doubt very much he would have had to take a pay cut, if Millwall couldn't have afforded him we would be paying the rest of his wage. Now when he moves there in Jan (which is pretty certain now) we won't have to, so he obviously wants to do a Saganowski to get a contract and then he'll be back to his good old running into blind allie not looking up self! And yes it is petulant, if he wanted to he could have girded his loins and proved to NA that he should be playing BUT oh no, much easier to spit your dummy out and sit on the bench taking your pay isn't it???
  11. That really worked at Leeds didn't it?? So you're still pushing them out of the first team UNTIL such point as they decide to toe the line, so therefore you are still excluding them from the first team, so you're still reliant on the young kid with half the talent....
  12. So players who don't want to play for Saints and therefore don't give there all should be made to play? Is that what you're saying. If push came to shove I would rather have a motivated kid with half the talent of the aforementioned players than an unmotivated player. And if, as you're alluding, there is no money to buy new players then these players going will give us the resources to get new players in.
  13. Good, anyone who thinks that they're too big for Saints don't deserver to be playing for Saints. Or are you advocating that we play players who don't want to be here and don't put in their all? Also CCC clubs have to want the players for the players to get into the CCC! Seriously I think RichmondSaint better think it through again.
  14. Foolish, foolish boy
  15. I agree that we should have maybe cosnidered buying some other big target man just in case Rickie got injured/lost form BUT who would we find that a) Is good enough b) would quite happily warm the bench. Plus we have other backup strikers in Connolly, Barnard, OXO. I know they are not big target men but as someone else said if plan 'A' isn't working (ie Rickie) why bring on someone to replace him and cotinue with plan 'A'
  16. No I don't subscribe to Saintsplayer, maybe I should. I hereby unreservedly apologise for my denigration of Rickie! Actually, maybe he should have been rested earlier for a couple of games. I'd prefer an earlier fully fit Rickie than a half hobbled one.
  17. Are you saying that Waigo/Antonio provided for Rickie or are you saying he had better service because Waigo/Antonio pulled men off of marking Rickie so he had more space and time to compose himself??
  18. Maybe I should have explicitly stated THIS SEASON!!
  19. Bad form that goes on for half a season?? A couple of games can be forgiven but... Are Everton not getting relegated then??
  20. Oh and apparently he was offered a contract extension in the summer but no pay rise. Enough to throw your toys out of your pram?? If you're a professional footballer it seems so!!
  21. He can't be missing Pardew, he was playing **** when Pardew was here (BTW I said the same thing in response to the same argument on the Puncheon thread). And as Hypo responded, maybe AP's demotivation has had a knock on effect. Maybe a huge mistake not to have let AP go in the summer but, as they say, hindsight is 20/20
  22. So a swift sharp kick up the backside is needed to motivate them
  23. But this 'form' has been going on since the start of the season, so maybe they weren't playing for AP at all.
  24. An equally valid question before Puncheon went!! What are we supposed to do have a squad of 50 players just in case??
  25. Lets see, get offered a contract extension but no pay rise, means the club want to keep me but not THAT much!! So I'm going to sulk and stamp my feet and prove them right!! Man up and grow a pair! In the 'current economic climate' you're lucky to a) have a job and b) earn what you earn..
