For me there is no alternative. I have known a lot of Skates fans over the years and they are always abusive and find it difficult to discuss our rivalry in a rational and intelligent way. I have a good mate who is a mad Liverpool fan and I never hear him talking about about Everton in the same way. Their's is a rivalry and ours seems to be a hatred. If any Skate gets in to a discussion about recent results then just remind them of the overall stats between Saints and Pompey. Went through the BBC Predictor again and had us to lose the next two games and we still stay up. Reflects how tough a run in some of the other teams have.

Saw Nigel Adkins on the train to Waterloo yesterday with his wife. Obviously on a day out.. He looked very relaxed and happy. I wish him well,

Went to the game with a good mate who is a Liverpool fan and he felt that Clyne was our best player. Had to deal with Suarez defensively and did that well. Also looked good going forward.

Looking back on the last 3 games some of us would have been anticipating 3 points from them. Lose to Man City and Newcastle and beat QPR. Football just doesn't always work the way you expect. Next two games? Who knows. Just keep positive and enjoy the ride..

Wow. A 50 Million Capacity Stadium. We must be going global..

My view is that it's easier for us to play the top teams than take on a side like QPR who put men behind the ball and look for quick breaks. Looked at the first half highlights on SKY and the commentator was commenting on our tendency to leave gaps at the back as the full backs push forward. They sucked us in and got us on the break.. I don't think QPR dominated any part of the game even after they scored.

Thought we were average today and QPR were equally poor but were gifted 2 easy goals by our defence. When Rodriguez came on he beat Samba all ends up for speed. Think we should have started with him. Fox was weak and most of their attacks came from that side. Still think that QPR will go down.

The more I look at it the less it looks like a Penalty. Garry Neville also said last nigh on MNF that he thought that it was definitely not a penalty. The CISSE goal was also offside. When the guy hit the long ball he was way offside and nobody else touched it before he struck the ball. All 4 Newcastle goals had an element of luck to them. Still, maybe that's all our bad luck over in one game.

At the beginning of the season we were unsure of Fonte, Goalkeeper, left back, Puncheon, could Rickie do it in the PL; Jack Cork was injured and has proved he is PL standard. Luke Shaw was nowhere to be seen. So many uncertainties clearer for me and so more confident that we can do it. We clearly do not need to do a Harry Redknapp who seems to wallow in Transfer Windows and in some cases bugger it up. Remember?

The Players are Professionals and paid a lot of money by the club not the manager. Whatever their views of Adkins they will be keen to impress the new boss. I think it's just Echo propaganda.

If the guy had connected with Corks leg it could have been badly broken. Referee was right on the spot and that's why he gave a red. The intent was there despite missing the target. Also think that KD looked suspect. We still need a top class goalie I think.

For me there is logic in his team selection. He has to deal with the big hoof up front by Stoke. Playing 3 CBs makes sense and we know that Yoshida can play full back if needed. Guly gives us workrate in midfield and we need 2 up front to occupy their defence. I can see what NA is doing. He will of course be slated if it doesn't work. We shall see.

Shaw for me. Reading targeted him all game and he stood firm.

Villa and Reading both huffed and puffed in my view. Poor quality game.

I would agree that we may not have the players but to say we do not belong in the PL when Stoke, Norwich, West Ham, Swansea etc do I think is just a reaction to where we are in the league. My view is that Adkins is not smart enough in the PL. Big Sam knows it so well and knows how to get the best out of his team in this league. I think that NA will be going soon and that will be sad but a must.
