  1. Can't wait. Sky+ box cleared in preparation! Can't see anything other than a Contador win, assuming he's allowed to ride. Green jersey should be far more interesting this year with the new rules, and may well be Cav's best chance to win it.
  2. Stupid decison. Refs have the power to withdraw it if they feel teams are taking the ****, well except for Brighton. Keeps ball in play and stops negative smash it in to row z in the last minute type tactics
  3. Fair point re the ticket pricing, hopefully they will have agreed a sensible price. I find it boring as we only played a year or so ago, plenty of other teams we could have drawn against who I would be far more interested in seeing us play.
  4. With the hike in prices and considering what a boring draw that is it wouldn't hurt the club to let season tickets holders in for free to this one.
  5. I think bus gags are just the ticket!
  6. I saw that book in my local library, was quite curious to have a read but just couldn't bring myself to be seen in public with it...

  8. If its a bike ride your training for - then go out and ride a bike. Don't run, it will screw up your knees. Weights are OK, concentrate on your core muscles (back/stomach). Shoulders and upper arms for support while riding, and obviously the main cycling muscles. Don't bother with cardio machines at the gym, total waste of time. Nothing will replicate the type of training you need better than actually getting out and doing it. And the one key point to remember, you don't get fitter by excercising, you get fitter by recovering. Don't over do it!
  9. Camping somewhere or other. Wife and two youngest have never been camping, so it should be a laugh!
  10. Pomp*y, no one would notice the difference. Failing that, they should be shot on sight. We could even have a pikey hunting season, to allow them time to breed and supply us with more sport. Far more useful to the community than killing a few foxes, and would keep the hunting types happy. Everyones a winner!
  11. Have some people actually taken this thread seriously?
  12. The firm I used to work for took on a new manager who was well into all this business jargon crap. One day he was giving one of the lads a bit of a bollocking for something for other, and finished with the line' and remember, theres no I in team!', to which the nipper replied, 'no, but theres definetley a U in cu nt'. I did laugh.
  13. According to some of our inbred chums:lol: http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=424&fid=203&sty=2&act=1&mid=2117320196 Have to say I love that forum, although they should probably rename it. Something like i'maretardedskate*****.com
  14. Michael Owen Tampering With Your Wife? PM? (please)
  15. Excellent news, I can it in my seat in block 20 and safely abuse skates again without fear of upsetting little jonny and his mum.
  16. I know people are taking the **** a bit, and he is very poor as far as a pro footballer goes, but I reckon he would thoroughly embarrass many posters on here who are happy to belittle him, lets face it he has done something no-one on here has managed (to my knowledge), and thats to get paid for playing the game.
  17. Was talking to an FA coach about this sort of thing the other day. He reckons that clubs nowadays don'y neccesarily look for out and out footballing talent. That can be taught, what they want is kids who are strong and fast naturally.
  18. Apparently there is NO truth in the rumour Paul Allens yacht was seen moored in Langstone harbour yesterday...

    Milkmen

And here is the big problem, you end up buyng from a shop anyway. Always use supermarkets for milk. A, because its cheaper B, because I live less than a mile from one so generally walk to it and C, with 6 six of us in the house we go through the best part of 3 pints a day. I'm actually considering a herd of cows, it will be cheaper in the long run AND I will never have to cut the grass again...

    Coffee

To balance up the tea thread, heres one for coffee drinkers. At home, Gold Blend, when I'm out and about, quite partial to a Costa americano. Used to have a percolator in the kitchen, but the mrs hates the smell, and the jug mysteriously broke...
  21. PG tips, and lots of it
  22. Most big clubs have sattelite academies. Where do you think we found the likes of Shearer, Madison etc
  23. What time can we expect him to check back? Is he still alive?
  24. What about flat coke? Its liquid (obviously) but the sugar and caffeine will give you a boost. You have my sympathies, I had campylobacter poisoning a few years ago and it was the worst thing I've ever had. It might be worth getting yerself to the docs as I carried on squitting for days after I was back on my feet, and ended up needing pills to fully clear it up.
  25. He's back from the deeeeeeeeaaaaaaddddddd.......
