I'm no cheerleader for Labour, but it has to be accepted that interest rates and inflation (if we conveniently ignore house prices) have (so far) been kept under control by Brown et al. More importantly, the responses of Cameron and Osbourne to the financial crisis include a) not nationalising Northern Rock, but selling it on the cheap to private investors, and b) rejecting fiscal stimulus in favour of 'active monetarist intervention by the Bank of England'.ie lower interest rates - what, lower than 0.5% - or cut taxes? This means basically they would have done nothing but cut public spending. The result of this would have been massive unemployment, house repossessions, business failure. 1982 anyone? At least Labour intervened and used the govt. to actually help people rather than simply re-start the economy by slash and burn. Like I say, I'm no Labour fan (10p tax-rate, Iraq, Blair, failure to change voting system means I can't support them), but on economic issues they are streets ahead of Cameron. I can't forget what the 80's was actually like - remember just how many homeless there were for a start. Parts of London/Cambridge/Brighton (the places I know/knew) were like refugee camps compared to today. Thats what I think - serious answer.

If I may rant just a little bit... ... CV/work-history displayed there is exactly the kind of pointless delusional cack that has helped to mess-up this country. What particular skills is he showing, what does he make and why is he special?? The answers are absolutely 'fu.ck-all', 'fu.ck-all' and 'is he fu.ck' and yet I have no doubt that he creams in a nice little income from pri.cks with too much cash. Property+Football = two over-inflated bubbles which do nothing to improve the country and quite a lot to screw it up. What a co.ck. Wish he'd just grow up and get a proper job... or fu.ck off completely. Thanks.

The big Gay festival is August, so put a note in your diary. This weekend I believe its a big christian festival - but its not exclusive to Brighton. HTH.

Im convinced we'll be within 3 pts when we start our last match... whether we actually make it is another thing altogether. Top season so far though.

Daily Mail in crappy provocative journalism shock. -
Ha-ha - droll indeed. I say put SaggyFace, Mandick and Story behind bars until they cough-up our cash.

Can we talk about catching the real cheating bastards in the country please instead of the dozy twonks who chose to sit around wasting their lives in front of the telly. In 2008 the cost of tax evasion was 15 billion, whereas the cost of benefit fraud was 1 billion. The tax fraud figure dosn't include legal tax avoidance scams either which has been estimated at between 13 and 25 billion (2008). Lets crucify the rich greedy cheats, not the poor, boring stupid ones.
-
Yeah, that Georgia one especially. What were they thinking? I'd **** my pants if two years after my country got spanked by the Russkies the telly was again showing fighter jets and reporting the President was already dead. ****s.

+1 It was a difficult choice with the availability of rollercoasters as an option too. However, the prospect of a petting zoo complete with RED (dye those ****ers) and white Zebras is the most exiting thing I have ever had in my mind. Ever.

Meh. Scientists... what have they ever done for us.
-
Thanks everyone - I conclude they are, sooner or later, fuc.ked. My irritation at their FA cup run is slightly reduced.
-
Cheers - so basically they are making it up as they go along. Stangely not surprised by this... On a happier note... roll on monday.
-
So, apologies if I've missed something here, but when are they actually gonna be deducted the 9 points ??? They are in administration, so what is the delay ? Again, sorry to be tw.at if this is a dumb question.

Anyone remember Hassan Kachloul winning a 'most powerful shot' competition when they used to show 5-a-side games in the summer? I was somewhat surprised he won at the time. Im not having a really weird made-up memory moment am I??

BBC6music costs 9 million at most per year. BBC3 costs 133 million. BBC6music = 1 Jonathon Ross plus 1 Anne Robinson Please email srconsultation@bbc.co.uk to register your complaint - if you have one.

Hi again Greg, Overall then I think its quite clear we disagree - apart from my sarcasm being redundant. One point - what you identify as a non-sequitur actually cannot be, since nowhere in the sentence do I draw any inference from an earlier comment. You are right though that I appeal for the issues to be considered sympathetically - is that a bad thing ? I think now I'm going to carry on with my life with my head in the sand and ignore your opinions completely, (particularly on what is/is not genuine science). Cheers

Off topic I know, but what a player Belmadi was on his day (when he wasn't injured). I remember him seeming to be the only exciting creative player we had around that time. Puncheon ? Didn't go to the match but he looks/sounds exciting - love a player that runs at the opposition.

Agreed. Also, now Terry's got his mates (ie. PR company) to describe Bridgey as 'a known bottler', rather than apologising (apparently he's refused), its got way out of hand. Bridgeys better off out of it - let Terry and the rest of the cu.nts fu.ck up Englands chances by themselves.

True. If the Tories get in expect to pay more tax as they seek to reduce the budget deficit more quickly than is necessary. The only party planning a tax decrease that is relevant to me iare the Lib Dems - making the first 10000 quid tax free. Worth an extra 800 quid a year (or a holiday) to me. Nice.
-
Classy. Your mum would be proud... ...just like she was when I ****ged her.

Cheers for clearing that up. My guess is that those who support the tories will see this as evidence of the unsuitability of GB to be PM whereas those who support GB will either ignore it, or thier admiration will increase as his behaviour is rationalised as 'action' or 'passion'. Those who are indifferent will continue not to really give a sh.it. Personally, (I will vote LibDem FWIW), it makes me wonder... if this is the worst the Conservatives can say about GB then they havn't got much of an idea about how to really bring him down - I don't think this mud will stick. Also, I think if anything it makes him look more authentic. In comparison, Cameron looks like a phoney wet fart (much like Nick Clegg sadly).
